DWI HIT PARADE Wicomico Deputy found Aaron Carey passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle on the wrong side of the road waiting for a stop sign to turn green?

SALISBURY, MD. – Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis reports that on March 22, 2018, at 5:48 a.m., a deputy observed that a vehicle was stationary on Jersey Road at the stop sign for Waller Road for an inordinate amount of time.

The deputy saw that the vehicle was on the wrong side of the road and the operator, Aaron Miles Carey, 25, of 104C Clarence Christy Drive, Delmar, Md., was passed out behind the steering wheel. As the deputy roused Carey, the deputy detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage.

The deputy placed Carey under arrest for DUI after Carey was unable to successfully complete sobriety testing.

During subsequent processing, Carey submitted to a breath test with a result which tested over the limit. After Carey signed for the requisite paperwork and received citations he was released to a sober driver.

Charges: Failure to Drive Right of Center, Driving While Impaired, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol Per Se.
