LANGLEY PARK, MD. Prince Georges Police report yet another murder in PG County as a man was shot to death in the bright sunlight of daylight savings time, which saved no time at all for the victim – but did provide a better line of sight for the killer.
Langley Park is a hotbed of MS-13 crime with murders involving gang members on the increase as Maryland continues to pursue Sanctuary status.
Homicide Unit detectives are actively working to arrest the suspect who fatally shot a man in Langley Park. The victim is 37-year-old Ruben Garcia-Ramos of 1922 Laguna Road in Adelphi, Md.
A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
Police say that on March 22, 2018, at approximately 5:45 pm, patrol officers responded to the 1900 block of Laguna Road for the report of a shooting. When they arrived on the scene, officers found the victim outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He died of his injuries several hours later.
Detectives are working to identify a suspect and establish a motive.
Ruben Garcia Ramos filed an action in the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County, Md., on Nov. 27, 2017, against Liliana D. Arbarza of 2201 Guilford Road, Apt 104, Hyattsville, Md., in what court records reflect was an “uncontested divorce” with a hearing set for April 2, 2018.
Perhaps the action was contested after all or Garcia was the target of a MS-13 Gang member seeking to gain higher ranking. PG Police believe that, on first analysis, this is not a random crime – meaning there was a method to the madness of the killer.
