PRINCE WILLIAM POLICE BEAT: Chloe’s morning booze cruise included a child

Chloe Anais Simmons, 31 of Sweetwater Court in Stafford, Va., was arrested for DUI and child endangerment in Prince William County, Va. on April 6, 2018.

WOODBRIDGE, VA. – Was she on the way to daycare or just returning from a trip to the local liquor store after shopping? Police report that on April 6, 2018, at 9:32 AM, officers responded to the 3400 block of Panther Pride Dr in Woodbridge, Va., to investigate a vehicle crash.

The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2000 Nissan Maxima was pulling into a parking spot when she struck another unoccupied, parked vehicle causing minor damage. Upon further investigation, officers determined that the accused was intoxicated.

Police say that a 5-year-old child was in the vehicle at the time and was unharmed. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Chloe Anais SIMMONS, 31, of the 3400 block of Sweetwater Court in Stafford was charged with child endangerment and driving under the influence. She was held without bond pending a hearing.

Scarf & Knife Attack on Child

WOODBRIDGE, VA.  – Prince William Police say that a 13-year-old child reported that a black male attacked her as she was walking while wearing a scarf over her head and, calling her a terrorist, threatened her with a knife. The attacker removed her scarf from her head and put his hand over her mouth to prevent her from screaming for help.

The man released her when a motorist approached after observing the attack, and he fled the scene.

During the encounter, the suspect cursed at the victim before he grabbed the victim’s arm and attempted to place it behind her back.

The suspect was last seen running down Riverview Lane toward Gordon Blvd.

The victim returned to her residence and notified her family members who contacted police. Minor injuries were reported. Officers and detectives conducted an extensive canvass of the area for the suspect who was not located.

Detectives believe the victim was targeted by the suspect because of her religious attire. There is no additional suspect description available at this time. It is probable that additional motorists may have witnessed the incident.

WOODBRIDGE, VA.  – Prince William Police report that on April 8 at 3:23 AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 13200 block of Conrad Court in Woodbridge to investigate a domestic fight.

The investigation revealed that the victim, a 24-year-old woman, and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal argument, which escalated.

During the encounter, the accused took the victim’s phone then grabbed her by the neck and began to choke her. The accused eventually fled the area on foot.

Minor injuries were reported by the victim. Officers determined that the accused was also wanted for a previous assault from 2014 on East Longview Dr. Following the investigation, officers obtained additional arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Josue FERNANDEZ-RIVAS, 25.

Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

BRISTOW, VA. – Late night running has its risks when running in isolated areas.

Prince William Police report that on April 9, 2018, at 12:33 AM, officers responded to investigate a robbery that occurred in the area of Rothbury Dr. in Bristow, Va., around 11:45 PM on April 8. The victim, a 22-year-old man of Bristow, reported to police that he was running near a pond in the above area when he heard someone calling for help.

When he went to check, he was confronted by two unknown males. During the encounter, one of the suspects, described as a white male about 6’ tall, thin with short blonde hair, wearing a hoodie and blue jeans, brandished a handgun and demanded money. The suspects took the victim’s wallet containing an undisclosed amount of money before telling the victim to leave the area. The victim returned to his residence where he later contacted police. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspects who were not located. The second suspect was a black male about 5’9” tall, 160 pounds with short black hair wearing a black hoodie and black sweatpants.

Burglar wanted customer list and records of nail shop

MANASSAS, VA. – While most hard-working burglars like to steal cash when breaking into a business in the dead of night, police say that a burglar who robbed the Couture Nails also took a computer hard drive, which is more in tune with the actions of a competitor.

On April 8, 2018, at 11:28 AM, Prince William Police officers responded to Couture Nails located at 10912 Bulloch Dr in Manassas, Va., to investigate a burglary.

An employee reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 8:00 PM on April 7th and 11:15 AM on April 8th.

The investigation revealed that entry was made into the business through a rear door.

Family Feuds Get More Interesting when Someone Pulls Out a Gun

Ex-con Joseph Luther Gue charged with the threatening of a family member with a gun during a family feud in Manassas, Va.

MANASSAS, Va.– This is where a routine family fight can escalate to a family brawl at the funeral if the aim is true to heart. Keeping an ex-con in the home can add to the fun.

Police report that on April 8, 2018, at 6:17 PM, Prince William Police officers responded to the Summertree Condominiums located in the 7500 block of Margate Cir in Manassas, Va., to investigate a domestic battle royal that included firearms.

Police say that Joseph Luther Gue decided that in order to get the upper hand in a family feud, that a gun would help and went to his bedroom to grab a rifle.

The fight got down and dirty when he reappeared with his long gun and aimed it at a family member who then began to wrestle him to the floor with the assistance of another member of the family.

The tag team kept Gue glued to the floor until police arrived and cuffed him and stuffed him into a patrol cruiser for a trip to jail.

Joseph Luther GUE, 64, of 7583 Margate Ct, Apt 001, in Manassas was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, reckless handling of a firearm, domestic assault & battery, and assault & battery. Gue has a court date on June 28, 2018, and was held without bond pending a hearing.

In need of basic instructions on firearm handling before he kills someone

MANASSAS, VA. – For what Michael Austin will end up spending on a lawyer he could have taken a firearms safety course. Prince William Police report that on April 7, 2018, at 7:45 AM, officers responded to the Ravens Crest Apartments located in the 8000 block of Lyon Circle in Manassas, Va., to investigate a shooting.

The investigation revealed that the Austin inadvertently discharged a round inside of the apartment that traveled through a window and into the ground outside. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. Michael AUSTIN, 59, of 8088 Lyon Cir, Apt 102, in Manassas was charged with reckless handling of a firearm.
