
One injured in a fire in Lord Calvert Mobile Home Park

GREAT MILLS, MD. – One adult was injured in an early morning mobile home fire in the Lord Calvert Mobile Home Park in Great Mills, in St. Mary’s County on April 25, 2018.
Maryland fire marshals report that the fire was discovered at 1:57 am in the trailer located at 21132 Ace Lane, in Great Mills, across from Great Mills High School.
The occupants were the Gregory family who was unable to continue to live in the single-wide mobile home and is being assisted by the American Red Cross.
The fire marshal set the value of the loss at $75,000 for the trailer and $25,000 for the contents.
According to the fire marshal, no smoke alarm was present and the fire was discovered in a bedroom by the resident.
The fire was quickly doused in ten minutes by thirty firefighters from the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department. The injured adult male was provided medical treatment, the other two adults in the trailer were not injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, reported the Maryland State Fire Marshal.
