MURDER USA Harry Rey killed wife, dropped kids off at a restaurant and then killed self

Harry Anthony Rey Jr. killed wife Amber Cox before killing self in Glen Burnie April 25, 2018.
Amber Lynn Cox killed by Harry Anthony Rey Jr. on April 25, 2018, before he took his own life.

WOODSTOCK, MD. – Baltimore County Police report that on April 25, 2018, just before 6:00 p.m., Baltimore County Police received a call for a check on a person located in the 10600-block of Davis Avenue, Woodstock, Md.  When officers arrived, they found a 28-year-old woman deceased inside the residence. The victim suffered from at least one gunshot wound.

Working in conjunction with the Anne Arundel County Police Department, officers learned that Anne Arundel County Police were called to Arundel Mills Mall when a man dropped off three small children and left them with citizens inside the Red Lobster at the Center.

The concerned citizens called police and officers quickly determined that the man’s wife may be in danger and notified Baltimore County Police.

Afterward, Anne Arundel Police located the man inside his truck suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, parked in the 7600-block of Sandy Farm Road in Severn.

Harry Rey Jr. and his wife Amber Cox had completed moving into this mobile home prior to him killing her and dropping kids off to Red Lobster.

Police preliminarily believe that the man killed his wife, left the children inside the restaurant, and then killed himself inside his truck.

Details cannot be confirmed until completion of both the autopsy and the follow-up investigation.

The victim has been identified as Amber Lynne Cox, 28, of the 10600-block of Davis Avenue, 21163. The suspect has been identified as Harry Anthony Rey Jr., 35, of the same address.

The three children, ages seven (twins) and six, were not injured and released to the custody of family members.

Cox and Rey had gone through the foreclosure of their home located at 309 8th Ave. SE in Glen Burnie in 2014 which was finalized almost three years to the day of the murder-suicide.

A protective order was issued against Rey in 2002 for domestic violence in Anne Arundel County District Court.
