Light Rail train struck a pedestrian who failed to grant the right of way; scene covers several blocks

POLICE: The trains are on tracks and don’t stop on a dime, it is the responsibility of pedestrians to give the right of way to trains.  

In the area of the Lexington Market, pedestrians graze in the street as if they are in a shopping mall, failing to use crosswalks.
