MURDER USA Drug & gun packing miscreant only wounded in a sideways blast in traffic hours after Lexington Park celebration featured on DC’s Fox 5

GREAT MILLS, MD.  – A dispute between drug figures was heightened on June 15, 2018, when a drug and gun-toting veteran was shot from a passing vehicle in Lexington Park the same day that officials and community organizers were rallying around the campfires of food trucks in Lancaster Park and singing kumbaya on Fox 5’s morning show.

Maryland State Police are searching for the suspect wanted in connection with a St. Mary’s County shooting that wounded a Calvert County, drug figure.

The suspect has not yet been identified. Police believe he/she may be driving a white, Chevrolet Silverado-style pickup truck.

The recipient of the gunfire was identified by police as Raymond Aontonia Robinson, 29, of 8310 Stevens Road, Owings, Maryland.  Police say that Robinson was operating a black 2018 Nissan Maxima with Maryland tags. Robinson and a female passenger were traveling on Pegg Road, near Chancellors Run Road in Great Mills when the incident occurred around 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018.

Police say that the preliminary investigation indicates a gunshot, which came from a vehicle traveling adjacent to Robinson’s vehicle, struck Robinson in the shoulder as he was driving.  The suspect vehicle was traveling in the left lane and in the same direction.

After Robinson was struck, he told police he turned off of Pegg Road onto an unknown side road. The suspect vehicle continued traveling on Pegg Road.

Robinson’s passenger called 9-1-1, and emergency medical technicians immediately responded. Robinson was flown by Maryland State Police medevac to MedStar Washington Medical Center in D.C. where he is being treated for his injury and will soon be released to police who have a bench warrant open for his arrest.

Troopers from the Criminal Enforcement Division, Central South Region responded to conduct the investigation. Leonardtown Barrack troopers also responded and were provided assistance by deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.

Robinson is a training aide for patrol officers of many different police agencies as he has recently collected traffic citations from the Prince Georges County Police for driving with an obstructed windshield, on April 10, 2018. Another charge issued by Calvert Deputy C. Idol on April 12, 2014, for driving while suspended resulted in the Calvert County States Attorney placing the charge on the Stet Docket.

Robinson was cited by Maryland State Trooper David Coppedge on Feb. 6, 2018 for driving on a suspended license and other infractions while operating on Rt. 235 at Wildwood Blvd. A bench warrant was issued for him on April 4, 2018, when he failed to appear in District Court to answer those charges. The taxpayers of Maryland will be overjoyed to learn that they are paying for the free public defender, Johanna Edith Fortuna Cimino to defend him in court whenever he arrives.

Robinson was charged with felony assault by Maryland State Trooper Allison Oyler on Dec. 11, 2017, and attorney Rais Jaleel entered his appearance in the matter in District Court for St. Mary’s County. A bench warrant for this case was also issued on April 10, 2018, when Robinson did not appear in court.

On Feb. 21, 2017, Robinson was charged in Calvert County District Court by the Calvert States Attorney with drug charges. On Sept. 18, 2017, Robinson entered a guilty plea to a charge of possession of controlled narcotics other than marijuana in a plea deal with Calvert States Attorney Laura Martin and the deal resulted in three years of unsupervised probation. On May 16, 2018, a bench warrant was issued for his arrest after he violated his probation.

In Calvert County Circuit Court on July 17, 2015, a violation of probation brought back criminal charges of possession of drugs and wearing and carrying a handgun on his person to court. The charges were originally placed in 2009 and resulted in probation. In a plea deal, Robinson entered a guilty plea in 2015 to both the drug and gun charge and was sentenced to 18 months in jail with all of the jail time suspended. In that case, in 2009, Robinson was represented by attorney Nicholas Ferrante of Prince Frederick, Md.

On May 11, 2009, Robinson entered a guilty plea to possession of forged currency and was sentenced in Calvert District Court to 18 months in jail with 17 months and 27 days suspended.
