
Drowning death of Anthony Capozzi Jr. ruled to be drowning complicated by alcohol intoxication

MYRTLE POINT, MD. – The Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has ruled that Anthony Capozzi Jr., died from an accidental drowning complicated with alcohol intoxication and was accidental.
Natural Resources Police identified the swimmer who died July 8, 2018, in the Patuxent River near Myrtle Point Park as Antonio Capozzi Jr., 30, of Wolcott, CT.
Capozzi went missing after swimming from a pontoon boat near Myrtle Point in St. Mary’s County and his body was recovered July 9, 2018, after an extensive search. Capozzi worked at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
Services for Antonio Capozzi, Jr., December 05, 1987 – July 08, 2018 were private and being held for the convenience of the family, reported the Albini Family Funeral Home.
