MURDER USA: Update on Murder of Seven-Year-Old Taylor Hayes; Mother Left Baby with Boyfriend, Returned To Find Him Beaten to Death

BALTIMORE, MD. – Baltimore Police say that multiple people were on the street on July 5, 2018, when a bullet took the life of Taylor Hayes, 7, of Baltimore.  Police are asking witnesses to come forward. The Mercedes that was the subject a lookout has been located.

“We are talking about the life of a seven-year-old child that has been snuffed out,” said Baltimore Police Commissioner Tuggle.  “She deserves justice and the person that did this needs to be arrested and prosecuted.”

Chief TJ Smith confirmed that a witness has been charged with a gun charge but is not the suspect. “A person that can harm a seven-year-old and wake up every day and continue with their life is a very interesting person.”

Chief Smith said that the question came up as to whether Taylor was the youngest homicide victim and she was not, a 3-month-old Juwan Pinckney and his mother, Tiffany Nutter, was charged in that case in May of 2018, and Smith said the homicide investigators had a new one, where an 18-month-old was killed and that death has been ruled a homicide.

 

MURDER USA: Francois Browne charged with the murder of 18-month-old Zaray Gray

Francois Browne charged with the 1st-degree murder of 18-month-old Zaray Gray on July 18, 2018, while babysitting.

BALTIMORE, MD. – Baltimore Police have now charged the boyfriend of the mother who left her infant in his care, with the baby’s murder.

 

Police say that on July 18, 2018, at about 9:30 p.m., a dual response for ambulance and police was dispatched to a residence in the 2800 block of Forest Glen Road when the mother of the child returned home to find her baby near dead and clear signs of a beating having been administered.

 

The 911 call was for an unresponsive child. The 18-month-old baby later identified as Zaray Gray was transported to Sinai Hospital for treatment. Shortly after arrival Zaray was pronounced dead by medical personnel.

 

Homicide detectives were summoned and assumed control of the investigation. Hospital personnel and detectives noted visible injuries on Zaray’s body. A post-mortem x-ray revealed a broken bone.

 

Through the course of their investigation detectives were able to identify and on July 20, 2018, Francois Browne, 35, 5627 Sagra Road, Baltimore, Md., was arrested and charged by Detective Ryan J. Diener with 1st Degree Murder, child abuse-death; first and second-degree assault, and related charges.

 

Browne is currently being held at the Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center.

BALTIMORE, MD. – Baltimore Police report a shooting on July 20, 2018, at about 1:05 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Pentwood Road to investigate a reported shooting.

Responding officers located a 20-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the thigh. Medics were summoned and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.

Citywide Shooting detectives were summoned and assumed control of the investigation.
