MURDER USA: Killer David Hall nailed by PG detective just seconds after he performed a fatal hit on Ralland Whitfield

OXON HILL, MD. – The murder of a customer inside of a Prince Georges County liquor store ended with one of the fastest and final conclusions in the annals of crime when the armed killer fled the scene only to be confronted outside the door of the store and was shot dead by a detective.

Police Chief Hank Stawinski said that numerous videos from nearby stores and dozens of witness statements support the preliminary conclusions of the detectives.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating the murder of a man inside of a liquor store in Oxon Hill on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018.

Immediately after the murder of Ralland Whitfield, 25, of Patuxent Mobile Home Park in Lothian, Md., inside of a liquor store at the corner of Oxon Hill Road and Livingston Road, a veteran police detective with the Prince Georges Police Department who was in an unmarked police vehicle at the intersection noticed the people running from the store and screaming for help.

The deceased homicide suspect who killed Whitfield is 27-year-old David Edward Hall of Brinkley Road in Temple Hills. The preliminary investigation reveals Whitfield had just made a purchase inside of the store when Hall entered the store and shot him multiple times. The motive for the murder is under investigation.

The involved officer is identified as Corporal Andrew McKenney. He joined the PGPD in 2008 and is assigned to the Bureau of Investigation, RID South Robbery Suppression Team. The Internal Affairs Division’s Special Investigation Response Team is investigating the officer-involved shooting.
