CALVERT SHERIFF POLICE BEAT – Where it’s always LIVE PD: Couldn’t afford Crown Royal but filled his bag with pot

SCOTT WALKER CROSS filled his Crown Royal bag with pot.

DUNKIRK, MD. – Calvert Sheriff Captain Timothy Fridman reports that on August 13, 2018, Deputy Flynt conducted a traffic stop in the area of Steven Lane and Lyons Creek Road, Dunkirk. After Deputy Flynt made contact with the driver, Scott Walker Cross, 21, of 12140 Palisades Drive, Dunkirk, Md., he smelled the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.

Police say a search of the vehicle revealed 39.9 grams of marijuana inside a purple “Crown Royal” bag. Cross was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession of Marijuana more than 10 grams.  Cross will be getting a free attorney, courtesy of the taxpayers.

Smoking crack fails to help them shed the pounds

LUSBY, MD. – If these guys smoke crack they ought to ask for a refund as it sure isn’t very good at making them skinny. Maybe they only smoke crack once a week and put away the ribs on the other six days.

Police say that on August 14, 2018, Deputy R. Shrawder conducted a traffic stop in the area of South Solomon’s Island Road and Nursery Road, Lusby. The driver, Kevin Darnell Commodore Jr., 31, of 1001 Sixes Road, Prince Frederick, Md., and his passenger, Tevon Anthony Middleton, 29, of 110 Stafford Road, Barstow, Md., were removed and detained.

A search of the vehicle revealed two small Crack Cocaine rocks on the driver’s seat and a scale on the passenger’s side. Commodore and Middleton were placed under arrest and transported to the

Calvert County Detention Center where they were both charged with CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana and CDS Possession of Paraphernalia.

Commodore entered a guilty plea to possession of cocaine on July 13, 2015, and was sent to jail for 15 days in a plea deal.

Middleton, in a plea deal with Calvert States Attorney Laura Martin, pleaded guilty on July 5, 2018, to DWI after his arrest by Calvert Deputy J. Denton on March 29, 2018. THE DEAL: 30 days in jail with all 30 days suspended.  He was given probation which was violated by this arrest.

Country Boy from Clements Wanted to Crash Country Show in Opry of St. Leonard

ST. LEONARD, MD. – Where do they keep the celebrities at the Bayside Pavilion when Billy Currington is in town for a concert? Evidently, William Clothier knew and wanted to meet his favorite country singer.

Calvert Sheriff Captain Tim Fridman reports that on August 17, 2018, Deputy N. Buckler and Deputy Rzepkowski responded to the Bayside Pavilion, St. Leonard, Md., for the report of disorderly subjects.

One subject, William Kyle Clothier, 25, of 23532 Mount Chance Court, Clements, Md., was escorted off the property after attempting to get into a restricted area. Clothier attempted to reenter again after being escorted off the property. Clothier was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with disorderly conduct.

PRINCE FREDERICK, MD. – Perhaps inmates can’t buy drugs in the Calvert Jail and feel compelled to bring it with them as if they are simply going to the slammer for a vacation.

Police say that on August 18, 2018, Deputy Ridgely responded to the Calvert County Jail for a CDS Violation. Correction Deputy Brady advised the subject, Omero Alvarez-Cruz (32), entered the jail with contraband, later identified as Cocaine. Cruz was charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana, possession of contraband in a place of confinement, CDS in a place of confinement and CDS Paraphernalia.
