MARYLAND STATE POLICE BEAT: David Yurchak identified as motorcyclist killed in the crash on I-95

BALTIMORE, MD – Maryland State Police report that they have identified one of the victims involved in the fatal motorcycle crash on I-95 early on Aug. 24, 2018.

 

The deceased is identified as David Yurchak, 70, of Baltimore. He was operating a 2017 BMW motorcycle at the time of the crash. He has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.

 

The other victim has not yet been positively identified. He was transported from the scene to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center where he is currently undergoing medical treatment for injuries sustained in the crash. Police believe he was operating a 2001 Suzuki motorcycle at the time of the crash.

Shortly before 4:00 a.m., Maryland State Police at the Golden Ring Barrack and EMS personnel from Baltimore County were dispatched to a crash scene reported on southbound 95, prior to 195 (Exit 47) in Baltimore. Upon their arrival, emergency medical service personnel pronounced one of the victims deceased at the scene.

 

Troopers from the Golden Ring Barrack along with a Maryland State Police Advanced Collision Investigator are working to determine the cause of the crash.  Police urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact the Maryland State Police Golden Ring Barrack at 410-780-2700.
