MURDER USA: Police say father grabbed steering wheel as daughter was driving caused wreck that flipped car and killed the driver, Rebecca Dougherty

MADISON, MD. – A tragic end to a young life came about when James Michael Dougherty, 59, of Madison, Maryland located in Dorchester County on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, grabbed the steering wheel of a 1999 Mercury station wagon that his daughter was operating, forcing the vehicle off the road and overturned into a flooded drainage ditch.

The crash, which took place on Maryland Rt. 16, in Madison, Md., at 4:07 pm, on Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, trapped everyone inside and killed the driver identified as Rebecca Michele Dougherty, 18, of Madison, reports the Maryland State Police. Rebecca was found dead when the emergency responders extricated the occupants of the station wagon from the ditch.

Also, in the back seat of the Mercury were a female juvenile and Cynthia Denise Dougherty, 57, of Madison Md.
