CENTERVILLE, MD. – Police say that a Galena man is a suspected serial rapist. A Maryland State Police investigation resulted in the arrest of a suspect related to the rape of two women within six months of each other and the sexual assault of a third woman.

The accused is identified as Mark Charles Blazejak, 21, of 31905 Griffith Drive, Galena, Md. He is charged with two counts of second-degree rape, three counts of third-degree sex offense, two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, two counts of false imprisonment, and one count of a fourth-degree sex offense. He was arrested Sept. 28, 2018, in Centreville, Maryland.

The investigation began in August 2018 when a victim reported to the Maryland State Police that she had been raped by Blazejak. Investigative efforts led to the identification of other potential victims who were interviewed and disclosed to investigators that they had been sexually assaulted by Blazejak.
