MURDER USA: No Charges Will Be Placed in Double Dose of Death When Drug Dealer Michael Bryant Killed Richard Arawole and Was Rubbed Out by Victim’s Brother
Fatal Shootings in Riverdale Ruled Homicide & Justified Homicide
RIVERDALE, MD. – The murders in Maryland pile up higher each week and the undertakers of Maryland have a boom in business stretching back for several years.
Two men who were shot dead on Oct. 26, 2018, have now had an official adjudication passed over the circumstances of their demise.
No one goes to prison. Two dead guys go to the grave and one man who put one of them in grave gets a ‘get out of jail free’ card.
Prince George’s County Police Homicide Unit detectives, in collaboration with the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office, have determined the double shooting in Riverdale is the result of a homicide and a justified homicide.
On October 26th, at approximately 4:30 pm, patrol officers were called to the 5718 Eastpine Drive, Riverdale, Md., after residents reported hearing gunfire. Once on scene, the officers discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead on the scene. The deceased suspect is 34-year-old Michael Gerard Bryant of the 5000 block of Eastpine Drive. He shot and killed 22-year-old Richard Arawole of 64th Place in Riverdale.
The investigation reveals Bryant confronted Arawole and Arawole’s 23-year-old brother who was standing outside of a neighbor’s home on Eastpine Drive. Bryant pulled out a gun and shot Richard Arawole. Arawole’s brother then returned fire in defense of Richard Arawole and other citizens at that location and fatally struck Bryant. Investigators learned that Bryant and the two brothers were involved in an on-going dispute.
Detectives consulted with the State’s Attorney’s office and it was determined that the brother’s actions were justified, and he will not be charged in connection with the fatal shooting.
- Bryant was charged with multiple counts of assault, disturbing the peace and assault on Jan. 18, 2018 and in a plea deal with Prince Georges County States Attorney Angela Alsobrooks on Sept. 11, 2018, all charges were dropped except for resisting arrest. THE DEAL: in return for pleading guilty to a charge o second-degree assault, Bryant was sentenced to two years in prison with all the jail time suspended. Bryant’s attorneys were paid for by Maryland taxpayers.
- Bryant entered a guilty plea to manufacturing and distribution of drugs on Jan. 9 2007 and his five-year sentence was suspended to a mere two days with probation ordered for two years.
- Bryant was given Probation Before Judgement for discharging a gun within 1000 feet of a school on Sept 23, 2004.
Richard Arawole was found guilty of possession of drugs on Aug. 30, 2017, in Prince Georges County Circuit Court.
