MURDER USA: Beef between husband and wife ended the problem of who was going to carve the turkey

WOODBRIDGE, VA. – Prince William County Police made a quick arrest in the slaying of Tyrone Timothy Drake, 54, who was allegedly murdered by his wife.

Police say that on November 21, 2018, at 8:08 PM, officers responded to a residence located at 3324 Labourn Dr. in Woodbridge, Va., to investigate a shooting.

The investigation revealed that the victim and the accused, Rene Rachelle Drake, 60, who are husband and wife, were inside their home in the above area when they became involved in a verbal altercation that escalated.

During the encounter, police say that a firearm was brandished, and the victim was shot.

When officers arrived at the home, they located the accused near the front entrance of the home where she was subsequently detained without further incident. When officers checked the residence, they located the victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Police say that the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The firearm was recovered. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Rene Rachelle DRAKE, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. She was held without bond.
