HEROIN HIGHWAY TO HELL – Junkie Dad Brandon Michael Gohl Shoots Up with Heroin and Passes Out with Toddler in Back Seat; Child Called Mom on Phone

UPDATE: Maryland Court records reveal that Gohl hired Leonardtown attorney Kevin J. McDevitt who negotiated a plea deal on May 9, 2019, with States Attorney Richard Fritz that resulted in a sentence of fifteen years in prison with all of the time suspended except for 556 days. The plea deal provided for Gohl pleading guilty to felony possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, and misdemeanor neglect of a child with five years in prison suspended to run concurrent with the heroin charge.

LEONARDTOWN, Md. – Maryland State Police arrested a St. Mary’s County man on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, after he was found passed out in a truck with drugs while his 2-year-old son was in the vehicle with him.

Brandon Michael Gohl, 35, of 45043 Hollywood, Md., is charged with possession of drugs with intent to distribute and child neglect. He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Jail, where he is waiting to appear before a court commissioner.

Shortly after 6 p.m. on Sunday, Trooper Posch, from the Leonardtown Barrack, responded on a report of a child welfare check. According to investigators, the mother of the suspect’s son contacted police after her son video chatted her apparently upset and crying while inside of Gohl’s truck.

The mother told troopers that the child was unable to provide any information on their location. A phone ping was conducted on Gohl’s phone, which revealed the phone was in the area of Forest Park Road in Lexington Park, Md. Several police units responded to the area and began to actively search for the truck.

A trooper located the vehicle and observed two males passed out inside of it. The trooper then saw the child, who was in the back seat of the truck screaming and crying, and immediately removed him from the vehicle.  Gohl was arrested at the scene.

WHAT WILL HE GET FOR FATHER’S DAY? MAYBE FIVE YEARS IN PRISON?
Brandon Michael Gohl posed for his booking photo after shooting up with heroin and passing out with his toddler in the car – and the kid called Mommy to show her the druggie daddy.

A search of the vehicle revealed 23 capsules containing suspected heroin, U.S. currency and several bags containing suspected marijuana, totaling 889 grams. Investigators also located a suspected drug /price ledger. The other male passenger in the truck, Zackery Taylor Ricker, 23, was charged with possession of marijuana. He was issued a civil citation and released at the scene.

Police say that the child was examined by EMS personnel and returned safely to his mother.

Taxpayers will be delighted to know that Gohl won’t have to spend his own money on a lawyer and can continue to buy heroin, as he has been given approval for a free attorney paid for from the funds of the public treasury.

As of Jan. 29, 2019, he had been ordered held without bond while facing a preliminary hearing on Feb. 26, 2019.  Charges are felony possession with the intent to distribute drugs, two counts; possession of more than ten grams of pot; possession of heroin; possession of drug paraphernalia; and neglect of a child.

  1. I never stuck a needle in my veins a single day in my life!!! Yes, I snorted it for three months of my life, and yes I had my son with me. One of the worst decisions I’ve ever made in my existence on this earth. I broke my ankle and got addicted to opiates at 31 years old after never using opiates ever. I fought so hard for years to stop using pills but couldn’t do it on my own. I’m human I made a mistake and God has given me another chance to live free and free from addiction. I’m totally shameful of what happened to me and my son. It was a disgrace but by the grace of God, I am home with my family and building and new life and new relationships. Opiates have destroyed so many good peoples lives and I just hope if your reading this and you are hooked on pills or heroin please please please go get some help. I never believed in rehab but they really do help you, only if you want to help yourself.
