DWI HIT PARADE – Cops: MOM & DAUGHTER DOG TORTURE TEAM – Warren County Deputies collared Lucretia Dollarhyde and Alyssa Dollarhyde on charges of torture of dogs as a result of DUI arrest

FRONT ROYAL, VA. – When two Warren County deputy sheriffs encountered a woman on a traffic stop, on Jan. 23, 2019 at about 11 a.m., she was not only reluctant to give her age, but she didn’t want to provide her name – for good reason. She was wanted  by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department on several animal cruelty and abandonment charges.

Warren County Sheriff Daniel T. McEathron reports that Lucretia Ruth Dollarhyde, 35, of Front Royal, Va., was arrested by Warren County Deputy Stevens and Master Deputy Brown for DUI and several warrants including those for driving while suspended and multiple counts of animal cruelty.

With Dollarhyde in her vehicle was Sherman Averett Jr., of Front Royal, Va. Both Averett and Dollarhyde were arrested and booked into the Rappahannock Shenandoah Regional Jail. Averett was released after posting $1500 secured bail.

  • inadequate care of a companion animal,
  • two charges of abandonment of an animal,
  • and a felony charge of animal cruelty.

She was also taken to the regional jail and booked and released on bond. Alyssa Dollarhyde has a court appearance set on a felony charge of Torture Animal Causing Death, along with other charges, set for March 27, 2019 in Warren County District Court.

Lucretia Dollarhyde was charged on Dec. 19, 2018 with abandonment of animals, according to court records. She has a hearing in Warren County District Court set for March 27, 2019 for the various charges and in the meantime is still incarcerated.
