MURDER USA: PG homicide detectives seek info with dough on slaying of Nayel Shabex

Someone in this neighborhood could win a reward. PG Police posted a $25,000 reward for info that leads to a conviction of a killer.

OXON HILL, MD. PG Police report that Detectives with their Homicide Unit are conducting an investigation into a fatal shooting in Oxon Hill on Friday. The victim is 23-year-old Nayel Shabex of Widows Mite Road in Edgewater. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. Tipsters will never have to give their name.

On February 1st, at approximately 2:40 pm, patrol officers were called to the 5000 block of Deal Drive for a welfare check. They discovered Shabex unresponsive inside of a car. He was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced dead on the scene. Detectives are actively working to identify a suspect(s) and a motive in this case.

MURDER USA: Joseph Deloatch faces murder charges in fatal shooting

Joseph Deloatch faces murder rap.

HYATTSVILLE, MD. – A beef between two men ended with one on a slab at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore and the other on the glide path to a life sentence in the Maryland prison system.

PG Police report that their Homicide Unit identified and arrested a suspect in connection with a homicide in the City of Hyattsville on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019. The suspect is 49-year-old Joseph Deloatch of 3704 Hamilton Street, Hyattsville, Md.

Police say that Deloatch fatally shot a man with whom he was acquainted. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of his family.

On January 30th, at approximately 1:45 am, patrol officers and Hyattsville City officers were called to the 3700 block of Hamilton Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim inside of a home suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Homicide detectives quickly identified Deloatch as the suspect. He was located and arrested a short time later in Bowie. The preliminary investigation reveals the suspect and victim were involved in an argument when the suspect shot the victim.

Deloatch is charged with first degree murder and related charges. He’s in custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
