MURDER USA: Christopher Engles charged in the murder of his girlfriend Taylor India Webb

PERRY HALL, MD. – If convicted, Christopher Engles is going to have to find a new girlfriend in the Maryland prison where he may spend the rest of his life.

Baltimore County Police have arrested Engles in the shooting death of Taylor India Webb, 20, who was found dead in her vehicle in Perry Hall on Feb. 26, 2019.

Christopher James Engles,19, of 26 Bellhurst Way, Nottingham, Maryland, was charged by Baltimore County Detective Young with First Degree Murder and remains held without bond at the Baltimore County Jail following a bail review hearing on March 7, 2019. The next court appearance for Engles is set for April 5, 2019. Engles has been cleared to be provided with a taxpayer-paid free attorney.

Christopher James Engles, 19, of the unit block of Bellhurst Way, 21236, is charged with First Degree Murder Baltimore County Police .

Police determined that Engles is an ex-boyfriend of Taylor Webb, who she arranged to meet with just half of a mile from his home on Bellhurst Way.

Police have identified the woman shot to death in a vehicle on Hickory Falls Way in Perry Hall as Taylor India Webb, 20, of the 4600 block of Marble Hall Road, 21239.

Officers were dispatched to the area for a call of gunshots heard around 11:58 p.m. and discovered the victim in the driver seat of her vehicle suffering multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this shooting death.

Engles was given a plea deal in Baltimore County Circuit Court for a charge of illegal possession of a regulated handgun following his arrest on Feb. 13, 2018. With attorney John Grason Turnbull III as his attorney, States Attorney Scott Shellenberger cooked up an easy outcome for Engles on April 12, 2018. THE DEAL: in return for a guilty plea to reckless endangerment and possession of a firearm, five other gun related charges were dropped., Engles was given one year in jail for each charge to run concurrently, and parole.

Taylor Webb was charged on Dec. 17, 2018 with a court hearing pending in Baltimore County District Court following her arrest by Baltimore County Police Officer Demby. On Feb 22, 2019, Webb was released on bond. She had faced charges of felony assault in Circuit Court, along with three other assault charges and one charge of malicious destruction of property.
