ANNE ARUNDEL POLICE: Detectives nail Diego Rodriquez and Uthman Adegboyega for armed robbery at Meade Middle School

FORT MEADE, MD. – Lurking outside of Meade Middle School on June 3, 2019, were two desperados armed with a gun when a student was walking past them. Anne Arundel Police say that one of the suspects asked to use the kid’s phone and the youth generously complied. At that point, police say one of the suspects shoved the victim, kept the phone and produced a gun. With the gunman demanding money, the victim was able to get to his feet and run for help.

On June 3, 2019, at approximately 6:00 p.m. officers responded to a call for a robbery that occurred at the parking lot entrance to Meade Middle School, 1103 26th St., Ft. Meade.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department has primary jurisdiction on school property on Ft. Meade.

Detectives from Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Western District worked with Ft. Meade authorities on this case and two persons of interest were identified.

 Positive identification was made on the suspects with help from the School Resource Unit and the Board of Education’s Security Unit. Search and Seizure warrants were executed by detectives at both suspect’s homes and they were arrested without incident at that time.

 The suspects, Diego Rodriquez, 18, of 17804 Cherrybrook Court, Severn, Md., and Uthman Adegboyega, 16, of 1703 Richfield Drive, #1703, Severn, Md., were both charged as adults with armed robbery, theft, and assault.

 Anne Arundel Police say that Detectives were able to recover evidence related to the incident during the course of the investigation. Anyone with additional information is asked to call the Western District Detective Unit at 410-222-6155.

Rodriquez was ordered held without bond after being charged by Anne Arundel Police Detective K. Brewer with eleven crimes associated with the armed robbery on June 7, 2019, and is being provided a free attorney courtesy of the taxpayers of Maryland.  Perhaps seeing his ad online, Rodriquez hired Craig M. Kadish, who will represent him at a court hearing on July 3, 2019. Kadish advertises: “You only get one shot at this. You need to hire an experienced Baltimore Maryland Criminal Defense attorney with a reputation for winning the tough case.”

Uthman Adegboyega was also held without bond.
