REDNECK RAMPAGE! Damian Patrick Busicchia rounded up after blasting off shots in road rage mania

WARRENTON, VA. – Has the calm countryside of Virginia turned into the southside of Chicago, the westside of Baltimore or the heathen realm of Anacostia in Washington, D.C. or was this road rage just a case of some whack job who has a gun, a car and an attitude?

Fauquier County Sheriff Robert P. Mosier reports that deputies were dispatched to the area of southbound Lee Highway (Rt. 29) and Snow Hill Drive on June 5, 2019, for reports of a driver of a black-Audi firing gunshot at a van and causing a traffic crash.

At 3:14 p.m. a look out was given to Sheriff’s deputies, Virginia State Police and Warrenton Police for a black Audi A6 being driven by a white male with a beard possessing a handgun. The tag number provided for the Audi returned to a Jeffersonton, VA address. A look out was also given to the Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office.

As law enforcement searched for the Audi deputies located the victim and witnesses on Lee Highway near Snow Hill north of Warrenton. The victim and witnesses described the Audi cutting off the victim in traffic. The victim expressed a gesture and attempted to take a picture of the Audi when the driver aimed a handgun out of the window. As the victim and a passenger attempted to take a picture of the Audi, the driver allegedly fired gun shots at the victim.

The victim continued to follow the Audi, as they approached the Snow Hill Drive intersection the Audi slammed on the brakes. The victim struck the rear of the Audi and a Penske truck struck the rear of the victim’s vehicle. The victim and the Penske truck pulled over on the side of Lee Highway and the Audi continued south on Lee Highway toward Warrenton.

At approximately 3:42 p.m. Culpeper Sheriff’s Office deputies located the Audi on Springs Road near Jeffersonton. Nearby Fauquier deputies responded to assist and transported the driver to the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver of the Audi, Damien Patrick Busicchia, 39, of Jeffersonton, is charged by Deputy K. J. Huston with shooting a firearm from a vehicle to endanger persons, brandishing a firearm, maliciously shooting at an occupied vehicle, reckless handling of a firearm and hit and run. Busicchia is being held at the Fauquier County Jail with no bond. There were no injuries reported during the investigation.

Busicchia has a court date on July 10, 2019, in Fauquier County District Court. With the charge of shooting a gun from a vehicle being a felony, Busicchia might want to double down on his resources and hire a real attorney instead of relying on the taxpayer provided public defender.

  1. Damian Patrick Busicchia is a veteran of the Iraq war he spent 26 months there and saw some really horrible things. He now suffers from severe PTSD. He has been dealing with depression as well. So cut him a break he’s been through a lot and snapped. The VA doesn’t do much to help these veterans but give them drugs.
