MARYLAND STATE POLICE BEAT: DUI and Drugs go together
Pills a problem for driver who normally drives while drinking
PRINCE FREDERICK, MD. – Maryland State Police report that on June 21, 2019, at 11:09 pm, Trooper D. Marsch stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Rt. 4 near Traskers Blvd. in Prince Frederick. While retrieving the registration of the vehicle, a prescription bottle was observed. Stacy A. Booth, 50, of 4194 Williams Wharf Road, St. Leonard, Md., allegedly stated that the prescription did not belong to her. Booth was arrested for possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center and immediately released on her own recognizance.
On April 20, 2011, Booth entered a guilty plea to DUI – alcohol for a charge placed against her by Maryland State Trooper W. Smith, who was southbound on Rt. 4 at Whispering Drive. In a plea deal with Calvert States Attorney Laura Martin, Booth was 15 days in jail and zero fine.
A theft charge resulted in a Stet Docket verdict on Aug. 23, 2010 in Calvert District Court.
Booth entered a guilty plea to DUI on July 30, 2007 in Calvert County District Court following her arrest by Maryland State Trooper Laziuck. THE DEAL: Calvert’s States Attorney gave away another of those easy deals that has failed to convince DUI drivers that the law has any teeth. A verdict of Probation Before Judgement with zero jail time and a fine of $500 which was never paid.
