BALTIMORE, MD. – While Baltimore racked up the magic #200 murder for 2019, a brazen daylight robbery in a residential neighborhood left a veteran Baltimore Police Officer fighting for his life after being shot several times.

Baltimore Police report that on Aug. 8, 2019, at approximately 3:24 p.m., police were dispatched to the 5600 block of Summerfield Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.

The gunman gave chase and shot Sgt. Carrington multiple times. The gunman got back into the vehicle at which time the driver of the vehicle drove north on Summerfield Road and then turned west onto Todd Avenue.

Sergeant Isaac Carrington sustained multiple gunshot wounds and underwent surgery as a result. He is currently on life-support.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Baltimore Police Department Homicide detectives, at 410-396-2100.
