DC POLICE BEAT: Convicted Pet Pig Killer Theron Boone busted for gun threat

WASHINGTON, D. C. – A Reston thug has a great criminal career ahead of him since he has been charged with a gun rap in the District of Columbia to add to his fame as a bozo who tossed a pet Guinea pig off a balcony in Virginia.

According to District Police, Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, in the 1200 Block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest.

At approximately 4:41 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a firearm and threatened the victim. The suspect then fled the scene. No injuries were reported.

On Tuesday, August 27, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 22-year-old Theron Ledale Boone Jr., of Reston, VA, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).

On April 13, 2017, Boone was found guilty in Fairfax County District Court of cruelty to animals and given a year in the slammer following being convicted of tossing a pet pig off a balcony in Reston, Va., on Dec. 30, 2016.  Boone was fined $250 and his sentence was suspended.

The pig slaying took place in the 2200 block of CastleRock Square, reported the Fairfax County Police, around 12:40 p.m.

 Animal Protection Police responded to assist officers on a domestic violence incident in the Reston area. The suspect had thrown the victim’s pet guinea pig off the balcony and left the area.

Animal Protection Police took the animal for evaluation and determined it was deceased.

The following day, Theron Boone, 19, of Reston was arrested, taken to the Adult Detention Center, and charged with animal cruelty, domestic violence, destruction of property, and preventing someone from calling 911.

The pig tossing Boone has a trial coming up in Fairfax District Court on Sept. 25, 2019, for charges of property destruction over $1,000, which took place on July 3, 2019.
