JILTED AND DEADLY: Deon Lennard Johnson in custody and charged with stabbing and slashing his ex and her mom in bloody home-invasion

NANJEMOY, MD. – The woods of Nanjemoy revealed yet another violent act of attempted murder when a Charles County man defied a court order to stay away from his ex-girlfriend and on Oct. 2, 2019, attempted to murder her as well as her mother, report police. After searching for Deon Lennard Johnson in a full-fledged manhunt, the accused turned himself in late in the evening.

Charles County Sheriff Troy Berry reports that on October 2, 2019, at 5:45 a.m., officers responded to the 2700 block of Port Tobacco Road in Nanjemoy for the report of a home invasion.
Officers found a bloody scene when they arrived and located the two women who had been stabbed multiple times.
They were subsequently transported to an area hospital by helicopter with life-threatening injuries.
Charles County detectives report that their initial investigation revealed Deon Lennard Johnson, 24, (DOB 07/02/1995) went to the victim’s residence on Aug. 29, 2019, in violation of a peace order which had been issued in May of 2019.
After police say he forced entry into the home, police alleged that:
- Johnson stabbed his ex-girlfriend’s mother
- and attempted to abduct his ex-girlfriend.
- When she refused to go with him, he also stabbed her before fleeing the scene.
Johnson was previously charged by Charles County Patrol Officer Cody Garner with ignoring the court order on Sept. 30, 2019, and is awaiting trial on Oct. 29, 2019.
