Charles County Sheriff Troy Berry reports that on October 2, 2019, at 5:45 a.m., officers responded to the 2700 block of Port Tobacco Road in Nanjemoy for the report of a home invasion.

Officers found a bloody scene when they arrived and located the two women who had been stabbed multiple times.

They were subsequently transported to an area hospital by helicopter with life-threatening injuries.

Charles County detectives report that their initial investigation revealed Deon Lennard Johnson, 24, (DOB 07/02/1995) went to the victim’s residence on Aug. 29, 2019, in violation of a peace order which had been issued in May of 2019.

After police say he forced entry into the home, police alleged that:

  • Johnson stabbed his ex-girlfriend’s mother
  • and attempted to abduct his ex-girlfriend.
  • When she refused to go with him, he also stabbed her before fleeing the scene.

Johnson was previously charged by Charles County Patrol Officer Cody Garner with ignoring the court order on Sept. 30, 2019, and is awaiting trial on Oct. 29, 2019.
