HOME INVASION: Man tending his chickens grabbed his gun to fend off armed invaders; shot one dirtbag; one fled and Tyler Perdue was rounded up by Anne Arundel sleuths

GLEN BURNIE, MD. – When a tough citizen was tending his chickens he looked back at his home to see that two men had bashed their way into his home and were attacking his wife.  The citizen did what any good American should do, he grabbed his shotgun and intervened, shooting one dirtbag while the other man attacking the chicken farmer’s wife fled.

The latest report reveals home invaders arrived in a cab!

When police caught up with the second suspect – they knew where the wounded suspect was – the hospital – they learned that the attacker of the chicken farmer’s wife was named Perdue. Tyler David Perdue to be exact.

On November 7, 2019, at approximately 07:30 in the morning officers received a call for a home invasion in the 700 block of Nabbs Creek Road. The homeowner advised he was outside tending to his chickens when he heard a commotion inside his house.

Anne Arundel County Police report that detectives identified, located and arrested the second suspect in this case, Tyler Perdue.

Police say that the first suspect is still receiving medical treatment and his information will be released once he has been discharged from the medical facility and booked.

Tyler David Perdue, (DOB 3/21/1999) of 256 Clyde Avenue, Lansdowne, Maryland, was arrested by Anne Arundel County Police Detective Cpl. Stephen Davis and charged with the following:

  • Home Invasion,
  • Burglary-First Degree,
  • Burglary-Third Degree,
  • Burglary-Forth Degree Dwelling,
  • Assault Second degree,
  • Theft 100-1500,
  • Handgun on Person,
  • Loaded Handgun on Person,
  • Firearm Use in a Felony of Violence,
  • Assault First Degree,

  • Armed Robbery,

Perdue was incarcerated in the Anne Arundel County Jail on Nov. 8, 2019 pending a bond hearing.

This fall has been a busy one for the alleged burglar Perdue as he was charged on a Baltimore County Circuit Court indictment on Oct. 16, 2019, with four counts of burglary.  Perdue’s first appearance in Baltimore for a hearing on Nov. 12, 2019, was canceled, according to court records, as his free attorney provided by the hapless taxpayers of Maryland filed his appearance, thus delaying the debut of Perdue in court.

On Oct. 2, 2018, Perdue entered a guilty plea to unauthorized removal of property and thirteen other criminal charges were dropped by the Baltimore County States Attorney as part of a plea deal.  Perdue was given a verdict of Probation Before Judgment.
