DWI HIT PARADE: Clayton Cieslewicz charged with burglary of the police station when he broke in to steal his impounded vehicle

EASTON, MD. – Some miscreants are destined to only dig themselves a deeper hole in a jail cell with continued acts of stupidity.

Talbot County Sheriff Joe Gamble reports that on Dec. 2, 2019, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Department attempted to stop a motor vehicle for a moving violation in the area of Oxford Road and Tour Drive, Easton, Talbot County, Maryland.

Police say that the driver, later identified as Clayton Matthew Cieslewicz, 25, (DOB 06/07/1994) of Easton, Maryland failed to stop for the Deputies, put the pedal to the metal as he accelerated in an attempt to elude the deputies.

CLAYTON CIESLEWICZ BRAZEN BUMBLING BURGLAR

Police say that Cieslewicz drove to the residence at 7777 Woodland Circle, Easton, Md., where he stopped his vehicle and fled on foot, ultimately entering the home. Deputies, with the assistance from Easton Police Department and Maryland State Police, were able to locate and arrest Cieslewicz after locating him in the dwelling where police say he had been renting a room.

Cieslewicz was charged by Deputy Sheriff Logan Lecompte with resisting arrest, fleeing and eluding a police officer, driving under the influence of alcohol, numerous other traffic violations and his vehicle was stored by deputies. Cieslewicz was transported to the Talbot County Central Booking Facility for processing and an initial appearance before the District Court Commissioner, who released Cieslewicz on a $5,000 unsecured bail bond.

Police say that Cieslewicz was observed on surveillance cameras, initiating a deputies’ response who was able to locate Cieslewicz and place him under arrest inside the building.

Following his release from the Talbot County Jail on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, Cieslewicz walked to the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office located at 28712 Glebe Road, Suite 1, Easton, Talbot County, Maryland.

 Sheriff Gamble reports that Cieslewicz broke into the Sheriff’s Department garage in attempt to purloin his vehicle from the custody of the Sheriff.  Police say that Cieslewicz was observed on surveillance cameras, initiating a deputies’ response who was able to locate Cieslewicz and place him under arrest inside the building.

Cieslewicz was charged by Talbot Sheriff Deputy Jeff Smith with burglary and again taken to the Talbot County Central Booking Facility for processing and an initial appearance before the District Court Commissioner, and was once again was released on a $5,000 unsecured bail bond – in another amazing act of stupidity on the part of the Maryland Alice in Wonderland Judiciary. A court hearing has been set for Jan. 28, 2020.

DWI, Reckless Driving, Property Destruction
a Pattern in 2019 for Cieslewicz

Following his arrest for DWI, reckless driving and other charges by Federalsburg Police Officer Jeffrey Adams on April 29, 2019, the charges were all dropped when he was sentenced for a DWI arrest which took place earlier in the year.
 Cieslewicz entered into a plea deal with the Caroline County States Attorney Joe Riley on Nov. 25, 2019 and pleaded guilty to malicious property destruction. THE DEAL: a verdict of Probation Before Judgement with probation ordered for eleven months and was ordered to pay restitution of $190.00.

IN District Court for Caroline County on Jan. 6, 2019, Clayton M. Cieslewicz was charged with DWI by Maryland State Trooper Garrett Graef with DWI as he operated a 2011 Nissan westbound on Md. Rt. 328 at Fisher Road in Caroline County, Md.

With Easton attorney Jesse Francis Hicks representing him in District Court in Denton, Md., on Nov. 25, 2019, in a plea deal with Caroline States Attorney Joe Riley, Cieslewicz entered a guilty plea to DWI. THE DEAL: Cieslewicz was sentenced to 40 days in jail.
