DWI HIT PARADE: Princess Anne Barrack reports DUI arrests for Oct-Nov of 2019; Ryan Onley racks up 4th DUI arrest but still got a sweet deal from Somerset States Attorney Garner

MSP Princess Anne October/November DUI Arrests

Maryland State Police Princess Anne Barrack.

The following persons were arrested by Troopers assigned to the Maryland State Police Princess Anne Barracks and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs during the months of October/November 2019.

Henry Fitchett, 29 YOA, Crisfield, MD

Geo Mar Lenn Handy, 30 (DOB 11/22/1988) OF 27784 Upper Hill Road, Fairmount, Md., was arrested by Maryland State Trooper S. Meyers on Oct. 5, 2019, at 10:17 pm as he operated a 1999 Chev truck southbound on U.S. Rt. 13 north of Crisfield, Md.

Ryan Christopher Onley, FOUR-TIME REPEAT DWI OFFENDER 43, (DOB 06/01/1976) of 3647 Brantley Road, Pocomoke City, Md., was arrested by Maryland Trooper S. Meyers on Oct. 7, 2019, at 10:59 pm for DWI as he drove a 2009 Ford truck southbound on U.S. 13 at Peach Orchard Road.

Ryan Christopher Onley was arrested just a week before on Sept. 28, 2019, at 10:56 pm by Worcester County Deputy Sheriff M. Powell as he drove a 2009 Ford Ranger in the 3600 block of Brantley Road in Worcester County, Md.  Trial for this DWI has been set for Feb. 20, 2020, with the hapless taxpayers of Maryland providing a free attorney.

Ryan Christopher Onley was charged with DWI by Maryland Trooper K. Elmore on June 15, 2019, at 6:40 pm as he operated a 2009 Ford Ranger southbound on U.S. 13 at Revell’s Neck Road. In Somerset District Court on Oct. 28, 2019, with two other DWI charges pending, the incredibly inept Somerset County States Attorney Wes Garner, who either didn’t bother to consult court records on the pending DWI charges, doesn’t care, or has yet to learn how to use a computer, in a plea deal with Onley, put this DWI charge on the Stet Docket with no time and no fine. THE DEAL: A charge of possession of drugs other than marijuana (such as heroin, cocaine, LSD) was also put on the Stet Docket.

Ryan Christopher Onley was charged by Maryland State Trooper J. King with DWI as he operated a 2005 Honda on Rt. 667 at Ramsay Lane in Somerset County on Oct. 29, 2010.  In a Plea Deal with the Somerset States Attorney, Onley entered a guilty plea to DWI on April 21, 2011. THE DEAL: Onley received a verdict of Probation Before Judgement with no jail time and a fine of $250.00.

DAVID JUSTICE – never really saw justice for his role in killing a prostitute; now back to court for two DWI arrests – if the police can find him.

David Justice, 32 YOA, Pocomoke, MD Arrested 11/15/19

David Kevyonne Justice, REPEAT OFFENDER DUI DRIVER – 32 (DOB 08/13/1987) of 21 Somerset Ave., Pocomoke City, Md. Arrested on Nov. 15, 2019, at 11:55 pm by Maryland State Trooper P. Zimmerman as he operated a utility truck southbound on U.S. Rt. 13 at Greenhill Lane. Justice will have taxpayers provide him with a free attorney as he has his day in court to face the justice offered all alleged DUI offenders on Jan. 14, 2020 in Somerset District Court.

David Kevyonne Justice apparently drives while impaired frequently as he was arrested again for DUI on Nov. 25, 2019, at 10:35 pm by Maryland State Trooper Wilson as he operated a 1995 GMC truck northbound on Rt. 413 at Hollands Crossing.  Justice apparently had no use for justice as he failed to appear in Somerset District Court on Dec. 26, 2019 and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.

David Kevyonne Justice entered an Alford Plea to Voluntary Manslaughter in Worcester County Circuit Court on March 9, 2012. THE DEAL: Justice was served up 56 days of time in the slammer and charges of second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment were all dropped by Worcester States Attorney Beau Oglesby. WBOC reported the trial and guilty plea by Justice on Dec. 18, 2008. SNOW HILL, Md. (WBOC/AP)- The third and last man facing charges in the slaying of a Pocomoke City woman has pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter.

Twenty-one-year-old David Kevyonne Justice of Pocomoke City entered the plea Wednesday in Worcester County Circuit Court and is awaiting sentencing pending the result of a pre-sentence investigation.

Authorities say Justice and two others were charged in the fatal beating of 41-year-old Judy Wojcik.

The woman’s body was found Jan. 13 south of Pocomoke City on a dirt road near a wooded area off New Bridge Road.

Twenty-year-old co-defendant Kendall Northam was sentenced this month to 30 years in prison. Twenty-four-year-old Shawn Treherne of Oak Hall pleaded guilty to manslaughter in October.

TRIO INDICTED IN POCOMOKE MURDER

SNOW HILL, Md.-(WBOC)  A Worcester County grand jury on Wednesday handed down indictments against three suspects accused of murdering a Pocomoke City woman.

Shawn A. Treherne, 23, of Bowie , Md., David K. Justice, 20, and Kendall I. Northam, 19, both of Pocomoke City are charged with first-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and theft in connection with the death of 41-year-old Judy L. Wojcik.

On Sunday, Jan. 13 at around 9 a.m., deputies from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office received a report about a body lying on a dirt road near a wooded area off of New Bridge Road just south of Pocomoke City.

Police say that upon their arrival, deputies found Wojcik’s body. The State Medical Examiner’s Office ruled her death a homicide and determined she was killed by blunt force trauma. All three suspects were arrested in late January in connection with the case.

According to Todd, the suspects face life in prison if convicted of first-degree murder, the most serious of the charges.

Wojcik lived in Pocomoke City and worked as a nursing assistant. She is survived by four children and three grandchildren.

From the Maryland Coast Dispatch:
Justice’s co-defendants in the case, Kendall I. Northam, 20, of Pocomoke, and Shawn Treherne, 23, of Bowie, Md., had already been tried and convicted in the case. Northam was found guilty of second-degree murder and first-degree assault and was sentenced to 30 years in jail. Treherne pleaded guilty to manslaughter for his part in the killing and was sentenced to 10 years in jail. According to court records, a concerned witness told detectives he allegedly spoke to Northam shortly after the murder was reported to the police and that Northam said himself, Treherne and another man, later identified as Justice, picked up Wojcik and drove her to a wooded area where she was to perform sex acts for money and drugs. Northam allegedly told the witness a disagreement arose for some reason at which time they beat and kicked Wojcik and left her in the wooded area.

From the beginning, each of the defendants provided information to police about the other two in an effort to get a softer sentence.

Justice cut his own deal in the case by providing prosecutors with more information about Treherne’s role in the death of Wojcik, which facilitated his manslaughter plea arrangement.

Say hello to Killer

(Editor’s Note: Shawn Anthony Treherne, of 5947 Hil Mar Drive, District Heights, Md., is no longer in prison as of Dec. 31, 2019, after being sentenced to ten years in prison for his role in the murder of Judy Lynn Wojcik.  After being released from prison as a result of a plea deal made with the Worcester States Attorney Joel Todd, he moved to Prince Georges County, Md., where he was brought into District Court on Nov. 27, 2019, and issued a Peace Order in a domestic violence case ordering him to stay away for one year from the petitioner, her home, school, place of work and for him to stay away from child care providers and the home.  Treherne’s newest charge of assault will play out in District Court on Jan. 28, 2020.  Greenbelt attorney Robert C. Bonsib is the attorney for Treherne.
