Boozing Bozo Nearly Hit Cop Car!
A Charles County Sheriff’s officer was operating a marked police car northbound in the 2700 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf when a vehicle exited the parking lot of a business and failed to yield the right of way causing the officer to take evasive action to avoid being struck.

WALDORF, MD. – Maryland Delegate “Jay” Jewel Jacobia Walker, 48, (DOB 01/24/1972) of 11808 Maher Drive, Fort Washington, Md., was arrested for DWI (Driving while intoxicated by alcohol) as he operated a 2013 Ford on U. S. Rt. 301 in front of the Tinder Box Lounge in Waldorf.  Politicians in Maryland that are elected to the Maryland House of Delegates and the Maryland Senate are given the privilege to have official General Assembly license plates on their vehicles and Walker has opted in for that perc as a state legislator, as court records reveal that Walker’s plate was a vanity plate “HOUSEDEL”.

Walker was arrested by Charles County Sheriff’s Department Patrol Officer Brandon Foster on March 1, 2020, at 12:53, which is in the magic window of prime time for drunk driving arrests from 11 pm to 4 am and also is a time frame in which many DUI deaths occur as a result of impaired drivers killing innocent motorists, which is exactly what Walker could have accomplished.

Democratic Delegate Walker apparently doesn’t have to be too concerned about killing constituents in Charles County as the voters of Prince George’s County House of Delegates District 26 are the only ones that can vote for him.

At least the taxpayers of Maryland won’t have to worry about springing for Walker’s mouthpiece in District Court for Charles County on April 16, 2020, as Walker declined a free attorney from the public defender’s office and was released from the Charles County Jail on his own recognizance.  Court records show that C.T. Wilson is Walker’s attorney.

Walker was elected in 2006 to the Maryland House of Delegates and was sworn in on Jan. 10, 2007. Being arrested for DWI is a proud tradition for Maryland legislators of both political parties with the then House of Delegates Majority Leader Kumar Barve arrested and convicted of DWI as well as Republican Delegate Donald Dwyer in a driving while impaired incident.

Montgomery County Democratic Delegate Kumar Barve entered a guilty plea to DWI when he took a chance at killing voters in his own district.

Delegate Kumar Prabhakar Barve, (DOB 09/08/1958) of 426 Palmspring Drive, Gaithersburg, Md., entered a guilty plea to DWI in Montgomery County District Court on July 17, 2008, in a plea deal with a special prosecutor from the Frederick County States Attorney’s Office, sitting in for the Montgomery County States Attorney to make the public believe the deal would not be cooked, at least not, overdone. THE DEAL: Barve was given a verdict of Probation Before Judgment with zero time in jail and a fine of $1,000 with $800 of the fine suspended.  Defense attorney Luiz Simmons, of Silver Spring, cooked up the deal with the prosecutor for his client. Barve was arrested as he operated a 2000 Acura in a very inaccurate manner on East Diamond Ave. in downtown Gaithersburg, Md., on Nov. 29, 2007 at 12:43 pm.  Barve evidently believed he could take a chance on killing a voter in his home district when he took to the roads while impaired.

Delegate Barve was first elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 1990 from House District 17.

Delegate Donald Harrison Dwyer Jr., (DOB 02/11/1958) of 1624 Twickenham Road, Pasadena, Md., was arrested by Anne Arundel County Police Cpl. Ryan Peacock on Aug. 20, 2013, as he piloted a Cadillac on Rt. 100 at Edwin Raynor Blvd.  On Oct. 25, 2013, Dwyer entered a guilty plea to DWI in a plea deal with the Anne Arundel County States Attorney. THE DEAL: Dwyer was sentenced to thirty days in jail.

Del. Dwyer’s address soon changed to the Anne Arundel County Jail when he was convicted of violating the terms of his conviction in 2012 of boating while impaired by setting off an ignition interlock twice. When brought back to court for the violation, in a plea deal on Sept. 30, 2015, the original Judge from the OWI boating conviction told him that he had warned him that he would go to jail if he violated the conditions of his probation. The violations landed him in the hoosegow for six months.  In the June 2014 Republican primary, voters threw Dwyer out of the office and replaced him with Republican Meagan Simonaire.

Delegate Jay Walker enjoys being a sports commentator and is an entrepreneur as well. Walker was appointed to the House Ways and Means Committee and is a member of the Black Caucus.

Maryland’s boozing legislators make sure state’s DUI laws are weak; bars protected from being held liable for drunk driving deaths, DUI is just a traffic offense
