It’s with a very sad heart that I post today. I just found out that the very first bass player I ever played in a band with was involved in an auto accident last night and did not survive. Dave Vukmer was the most genuine and mellow guys I’ve ever known. He taught me how to groove thru and not rush songs. It’s the best advice I ever received as a drummer. I carried it through every song I played. He also drove down from DC , not once but 2 times bypassing 200 other car dealerships to purchase two cars from me. That’s a good friend… Im asking for prayers for his family. They need it and would greatly appreciate it. This is one gig I’ll never forget our very first paying gig.. The band “Equinox” playing my high school, Leonardtown Highs Valentine’s day dance 1980. Dave Vukmer is far right. RIP my Rhythm section Brother. 😢
UPDATE: THE ACCIDENT LAST NIGHT NEAR LEONARDTOWN HIGH SCHOOL WAS DAVE. THE PICTURE ABOVE IS LEONARDTOWN HIGH SCHOOL GYMNASIUM
