MURDER USA: Three-fer when bullets flew in Landover; Uhland Richardson charged with murder of drug figures Pearris Clark and Eugene Jones

UPPER MARLBORO, MD. – Anytime three drug dealers are removed from the streets of Prince George’s County, a playing field of drug dealers for decades, it is a good day for the families trying to raise their children in a healthy and safe environment. Whether they leave in handcuffs or caskets, makes no difference to the beleaguered public, frustrated by the inability of elected officials to stamp out the scourge of murder and mayhem in one of Maryland’s largest counties.

Prince Georges County Police report that their Homicide Unit detectives arrested a suspect in connection with a double fatal shooting Saturday night, April 18, 2020, in the Landover area.

Uhland Thomas Richardson, 27, (DOB 10/07/1992) of 6302 Dower Village Lane in Upper Marlboro, Md. Richardson has been charged by Prince Georges County Detective Taylor with twelve counts of murdering Pearris Antonio Clark, 24, (DOB 08/10/1995) of 10126 Reprise Drive, Rockville, Md., and Eugene Deondre Jones, 26, of Oxon Hill.

On April 18th, at approximately 11:30 pm, patrol officers were called to the 7500 block of Courtney Place for a shooting. They discovered four victims outside in a parking lot. Each victim was suffering from gunshot wounds. Clark and Jones were pronounced dead on the scene. The other two victims were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The preliminary investigation revealed the shootings stemmed from a dispute over an illegal drug transaction.

Richardson is in the custody of the Prince Georges County Jail. A Prince George’s District Court Commissioner ordered him held on a no-bond status on April 23, 2020. A preliminary hearing in District Court is set for May 22, 2020.

Richardson was arrested on drug distribution charges on Feb. 19, 2020 and on March 20, 2020, he was sent back to the streets for pursuing his life of crime and murder, of which he is now accused. Prince Georges County States Attorney Alisha Braveboy dropped all of the drug dealing charges.

Richardson entered an Alford guilty Plea on Aug. 15, 2017 to Reckless Endangerment following his indictment on robbery charges when appearing before Judge Jackson, waived a jury trial, revoked his previous not guilty plea to all charges and waived a pre-sentence investigation and picked up a sweet deal in the process. THE DEAL: Richardson was sentenced to five years in prison with all but 420 days suspended and credit given for 420 days he spent in the slammer pending trial. On March 20, 2020, a notice of Violation of Probation was filed in this case and the hearing was continued due to the Wuhan Virus Pandemic. With Richardson’s alleged superior marksmanship exercised on April 18, 2020, blasting four people in a car in an alleged drug deal, he was back in the custody of the jail but for a different reason.

Richardson caught a plea deal on Oct. 17, 2011 from the Prince George’s County States Attorney following his indictment bringing a gun to a school, possession of a gun and ammo while being under the age of 21. In exchange for a guilty plea, Richardson was sentenced to three years in prison with ALL of the sentence suspended.

Richardson may not have saved all of his violence for allegedly killing drug distribution competitors as he was ordered to stay away from a victim in a case of domestic violence on Aug. 31, 2012.  The order was dismissed on Sept. 12, 2012 when the victim failed to appear in court.

Pearris Antonio Clark was picked up on a fugitive from justice warrant issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia on Dec. 16, 2019, by Montgomery County Police Officer S. Baker. Clark faced felony auto theft charges in Arlington County, Va., District Court for which he never appeared and now, never will.

Angela Alsobrooks was PG States Attorney and continued to evade accountability for the fare evader Leon Quarles

Clark got a plea deal in Prince George’s County Circuit Court on Sept. 23, 2016, when he pleaded guilty to robbery in front of Circuit Court Judge El-Amin.  With Judge Rattal presiding on Sept. 23, 2016, Clark withdrew his plea of not guilty to robbery and accepted the plea deal offered by States Attorney Angela Alsobrooks. THE DEAL: Clark was sentenced to prison for 15 years with all but 219 days suspended and credit for that exact period of time served was given, allowing him to waltz out of the courtroom that very day. After violating his probation in 2017, Judge Vincent Femia issued a bench warrant for Clark, who had failed to appear, perhaps due to pressing business selling drugs or stealing cars.
