MURDER USA: Armed Robber Murdered 7-Eleven Clerk Linda Maher; Reward Set at $10,000

WALDORF, MD. – In a sprawling area of Charles County, a newer 7-Eleven store was robbed on Oct. 1, 2020, at about 1 am and the store’s clerk was shot dead by a lone armed robber in a continuing effort by criminals to turn a nice community into a ghetto.

Charles County Sheriff Detectives are investigating the homicide and have announced a $10,000 reward for tips on who killed the clerk at the 7-Eleven located on Middletown Road next to Westlake High School in Waldorf.

Charles County Sheriff Troy Berry reports that on October 1 at 12:50 a.m., officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 3370 Middletown Road in Waldorf for the report of a shooting.

A preliminary investigation showed a lone male entered the store and approached the clerk. He produced a gun and demanded money.

After obtaining the money, the suspect shot the victim and fled. The victim, Lynn Marie Maher, 49, of White Plains, died from her injuries on the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’7” – 5’10” with a slender build. He was wearing a white facemask, a dark hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and dark tennis shoes.
