MARYLAND STATE POLICE NEWS BEAT: Brandon Shaw will have to bake new pot edibles for Christmas stocking stuffers; needs a new supply of Postal shipping boxes for next round of deliveries to drug customers

LEXINGTON PARK, MD. – Wow! Talk about a trooper cramping the style of an alleged Lexington Park drug dealer as he prepares for the Christmas drugging season!  Now that many druggies are hunkering down for the Wuhan Virus and avoiding in-person meetings with their purveyors of fine whacky weed products, innovative ways to provide dope for customers are constantly being created by clever merchants.

Maryland State Police say that on November 21, 2020, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Tpr J. Reid conducted a traffic stop on Pegg Road, Lexington Park, MD.

Trooper Reid began a friendly visit with the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, identified as Brandon Harrison Shaw, 32, (DOB 02/04/1998) of 21961 Barkentine Court, Great Mills, Md.

POT BROWNIES

Police say that Trooper Reid detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. They call it dope due to the fact that many alleged sellers of dope also smoke the whacky tobaccy, causing them to drive erratically and catch the attention of sharp-eyed patrol officers on the highways looking for impaired clowns behind the wheel.

As a result of a search of the vehicle, the following items were located:

  • approximately fifty-three (53) individually packaged suspected Marijuana edibles,
  • two (2) cooking pots containing suspected THC wax,
  • one (1) jar of suspected TCH wax,
  • two (2) capsules of an unidentified yellow powder,
  • one (1) container of approximately 16 grams of suspected Marijuana,
  • one (1) machete
  • and multiple pre-paid USPS shipping boxes and other related drug paraphernalia.

Shaw was placed under arrest and transported to St. Mary’s County Jail where he was charged with

  • Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) Manufacturing,
  • Possession of CDS manufacturing equipment,
  • Possession with Intent to Distribute,
  • Possession of Marijuana: Greater than 10 grams,
  • and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.

Shaw was immediately released from the slammer when he posted an unsecured bond of $10,000 – which is virtually worthless as a means to be sure he appears for trial, as evidenced by his failure to appear for trial in District Court in Leonardtown on September 29, 2020.  This being the Alice in Wonderland Maryland Judiciary, it is a wonder that he wasn’t awarded $25 from the public till to pay for an Uber to get home.
