DWI HIT PARADE: Holiday Alcohol Task Force Officers Arrest Humberto Guerra for Hit-and-Run and DUI; Packing Heat
SILVER SPRING, MD. – Humberto Guerra was out celebrating his birthday and was busted by Montgomery County Police Officer C. Chirigos for boozing while driving with a child in his Nissan after he demonstrated in a vivid sobriety test his impairment by blasting into a parked car. Guerra and his passengers all beat feet to escape the responding flatfoots. The flatfoots proved to be fleet of foot and soon more than a dozen traffic and criminal charges were awarded to Guerra.
Montgomery County Police report that Officers from the Holiday Alcohol Task Force have arrested and charged Humberto Guerra, 26, (DOB 12/29/1994) of 12010 Bronzegate Place in Silver Spring, Maryland, with offenses to include committing a hit-and-run collision, driving without a license, driving while under the influence (DUI) of alcohol and drugs, transporting a minor while DUI, and possessing a loaded handgun. Guerra was also served with a warrant for his arrest for a pre-trial violation from a previous offense.
Police say that on December 30, 2020, at approximately 12:57 a.m., Holiday Alcohol Task Force officers responded to a collision in the area of Carroll Avenue and Osage Street in Silver Spring. A white Nissan Versa had struck an unoccupied, parked vehicle and the driver of the Versa, later identified as Guerra, and two occupants, to include a young child, had fled from the vehicle.
Officers located Guerra in the area. Guerra provided officers with a false name. He had a warrant for his arrest and did not have a license to drive.
Guerra was arrested and they found a loaded handgun was in his jacket pocket.
Further investigation by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) officer determined that Guerra was under the influence of drugs and alcohol and was driving impaired.
Guerra was transported to the Central Processing Unit and charged with the above-mentioned offenses and installed in the slammer.
Arrested One Month Earlier for Burglary and Auto Theft
Guerra was charged by Montgomery County Police Officer K. Lashley on November 8, 2020, with several charges of theft, motor vehicle theft, drug possession such as heroin or cocaine, and possession of burglary tools. He was in and out of the Montgomery County Jail on the same date, so as not to stifle his budding criminal career. In the same incident, Guerra racked up numerous traffic charges.
Why the District Court Commissioner would have let Guerra out of jail on November 8, when a warrant had been issued for his arrest for similar charges involving the theft of an auto, drugs, and more on September 21, 2020, is best explained by noting that this is what happens in the Banana Republic of Montgomery County, Md. With his December 30th arrest and jailing, he was served with the arrest warrant for the September charges and as of January 4, 2021, was still in the hoosegow.
Ripped Off Another Vehicle in Anne Arundel
Anne Arundel County Police Officer Adolph arrested Guerra on August 29, 2020, as the dirtbag Humberto Guerra Jr. allegedly stole another vehicle and is facing charges of felony theft in Annapolis District Court. Guerra also was given honorable mentions with various drug charges as well. Maryland residents will be overjoyed to learn that they are paying for free lawyers for Guerra in the Anne Arundel charges.
