DRUG DEALER’S EXIT WAS FAST AND FURIOUS: Brian Anthony Farmer ended his trail of DWI and drugs when he hit tree

OAKVILLE, MD. – The blastoff into the netherworld for a Charles County drug dealer took place on August 6, 2021, at about 10:30 am in a speeding rampage that ended when Brian Anthony Farmer, 43, (DOB 6/25/1978) of Waldorf, Md., struck a tree, as he left Loveville Road as he traveled northbound towards Rt. 235.  Farmer’s passenger, Brenda King, was injured, reports St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron.

While the Sheriff reports that speed was a factor, it is unknown if he was intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.

Cameron says that Farmer was operating a 1990 Buick LeSabre and was unconscious at the time of first responders from the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department arriving on the scene.

Farmer was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department posted this account of their response to the crash scene:

At approximately 1030 hours, Station 7 was dispatched to Loveville Road in the area of Three Notch Road in Oakville for a collision. Rescue Squad 7, Tanker 74, Chief 7B, and Chief 7A responded shortly after dispatch with 8 Volunteers. While responding, the assignment was upgraded to a report of a person trapped adding Rescue Squad 2 and ALS to the call.
Units arrived on location to find a single vehicle in the roadway with one pinned.  Crews immediately went to work stabilizing the vehicle and started the extrication utilizing the HURST Jaws of Life.  A total of 2 patients were found with one being a priority 1 trauma and the second being a priority 2 trauma.  Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department, INC. Rescue Squad 2 arrived and assisted with the extrication. MSP Aviation was requested to handle the transport to a Trauma Center.
Engine 72 and Tanker 24 handled the Landing Zone at a nearby school.  The patient was extricated from the vehicle in 10 minutes and turned over to EMS.  One patient was transported by ground to St. Mary’s Hospital and the second patient was transported by MSP Aviation to the Trauma Center. The scene was turned over to the County Sheriff’s Department for the investigation. Units cleared the scene and returned to quarters at 1130 hours.  Chief 7A held the Command and Chief 7B had the extrication group supervisor.

CHARGED WITH DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS ONE WEEK EARLIER

Farmer was arrested by Maryland State Trooper John Preston for DWI-drugs and running a red light at about 2:09 pm on July 31, 2021. Farmer was operating the same Buick LeSabre when stopped on Charlotte Hall Road and Oaks Road.

PLEA DEAL NETTED FARMER LOCAL JAIL TIME FOR DISTRIBUTION

Farmer picked up a sweet plea deal from Charles County States Attorney Tony Covington on June 27, 2019, when he entered a guilty plea to felony drug distribution. The plea deal resulted in a sentence of twenty years in prison with all of the sentence except for eighteen months suspended.  The deal was the result of the efforts of Assistant States Attorney John Andrew Stackhouse who is now the Senior Assistant States Attorney in St. Mary’s County.

Stackhouse replaced the former Senior Assistant States Attorney Jaymi Sterling who quit when she revealed financial irregularities in the States Attorney’s Office when Fritz blew thousands of dollars taking his staff to an Ocean City resort for a prosecutor’s convention which had been canceled.

SEVEN YEARS IN PRISON FOR DRUG DEALING

The Charles County Circuit Court Grand Jury indicted Farmer for felony drug distribution resulting in him pleading guilty on April 22, 2008. The plea deal netting Farmer seven years in prison.

PLEADED GUILTY TO SEX WITH CHILD

Farmer was also convicted of a felony sex offense in St. Mary’s County Circuit Court on September 9, 2002.

Farmer was twenty-three years of age when he entered a guilty plea to multiple counts of sex with a minor and was released from prison on April 10, 2015.  His address on the Maryland Sex Offender registry was listed as 1032 Dorset Drive, Waldorf, Md. The vehicle listed as the one he operates on the Maryland Sex Offender registry is the same model involved in his fatal crash.
