MURDER USA: Another Murder on Ell Lane Keeps the Homicides Rolling in Waldorf as Convicted Gunman Arick Jackson Shot Dead
WALDORF, MD. – Charles County Sheriff Troy Berry reports the murder of a District man on Ell Lane, a location that has seen so many murders over the years, that one should be able to expect to put MURDER LANE into a GPS and be directed to that ghetto neighborhood a block from the Waldorf Sheriff’s Police Station.
Detectives Investigating Homicide on Ell Lane in Waldorf: On September 10 at 11:48 p.m., officers responded to the 12100 block of Ell Lane in Waldorf for the report of a shooting.
Police located Arick Jordan Jackson, 25, (DOB 5/10/1996) of Washington, D.C., outside of the apartment building with a gunshot wound; he was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Police say that Jackson was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore where an autopsy will be performed.
Investigators are working to establish a motive; however, this does not appear to be a random incident. Charles County Sheriff Detectives are pursuing leads and ask that anyone with information to call Detective Weaver at 301-609-6571. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for the tip that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case. Jackson lived at 12805 Meadowbrook Lane, Waldorf Md when he was charged in the District of Columbia with carrying a pistol earlier this year.
Jackson got out of jail early, thanks to lenient District officials
According to court records of the District,, on or about January 10, 2021, within the District of Columbia, Arick Jordan Jackson did carry, openly and concealed on or about his person, in a place other than his dwelling place, place of business, or on other land possessed by him, a pistol, without a license issued pursuant to law.
On July 12, 2021, Jackson entered a guilty plea and was sentenced to 120 days in jail and fined $50. 90 hours of community service were ordered. According to DC court records, Jackson should have been in jail instead of hanging around Murder Lane in Waldorf where drugs are often sold on a Friday night.
