COPS: BANK ROBBER FLED OUTSIDE AND DEPOSITED STOLEN LOOT IN BANK’S ATM

WILMINGTON, DEL. – When a bank robber has a fist full of stolen loot and he fears the teller he robbed might have called the cops, what’s the best way to hide the money?  For an alleged bank robber in Delaware, it was lucky he had an account in the bank he just robbed as he simply went outside the bank and deposited the stolen money in his account at the conveniently placed ATM.

Given the financial fraud history of Wells Fargo Bank, there is a good chance the alleged stolen money in the heist was stolen from customers of the bank or taxpayers at one time or another.

The Delaware State Police report that they have arrested 44-year-old McRoberts Williams of California, for robbery following an incident that occurred at the Wells Fargo Bank on December 11, 2021.

Police say it was determined that a male suspect approached a 25-year-old female bank teller behind the counter and handed her a note stating this is a robbery.

The bank teller complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect fled the bank on foot, and once outside he made a deposit in the atm on the exterior of the building. The suspect then continued to flee the scene behind the Prices Corner Shopping Center where he was located by responding troopers and being taken into custody without incident.
