Lead was flying on Wheeler Avenue; one winged

BALTIMORE, MD. – Baltimore City Police report that on December 14, 2021, at approximately 6:49 p.m., officers responded to the 2400 block of Mosher Street for a shot spotter alert and when officers canvassed the area, they located a 57-year-old male who had been shot.

 The victim told officers he had been shot when he was located in the 900 block of Wheeler Avenue. Police say that the victim was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive his injury.

Homicide Suspect’s Identity Sought in Daylight Murder of Jake Rogers on Holder Avenue

Baltimore City employee Jake Rogers shot in front of his children by ruthless killer

The Baltimore Police Department needs your help identifying a homicide suspect. 

Police say that on December 9, 2021, at approximately 8:21 p.m., Northeast District police officers were dispatched to the 4800 block of Holder Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.

When officers arrived at the location, they observed 34-year-old Jake Rogers suffering from gunshot wounds.  Rogers succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital medical personnel.

Homicide investigators obtained video footage from the area that captured the incident.  The suspect can be seen in the video concealing himself, only to emerge once the victim is observed.  After shooting the victim, the suspect flees the area.

MAN NEAR DEAD, SHOT IN HEAD

BALTIMORE, MD. – Baltimore Police report that on December 13, 2021, at approximately 7:11 p.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue for a shooting and located a 24-year-old male who had been shot in the head.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where at last check, the victim was in critical condition.

Due to the seriousness of the victim’s injuries, homicide detectives are investigating this incident.

Detectives have learned that an unknown male who was dressed in all dark clothing and a white mask approached the victim from behind and shot him in the back of the head.

Shot in hand, victim shuts mouth

Baltimore Police say that one hand doesn’t always scratch the other when it comes to explaining a gunshot wound.

On December 11, 2021, at approximately 1:23 a.m., Eastern District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim.

Once at the location, officers located 27-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the hand.

The victim wound not provide detectives with a location of the incident, possibly due to the fact that he may be discovered on a camera committing a crime of his own.

Derrick Creek charged with homicide of Johns Wilford

According to the Baltimore Police, on October 30, 2021, at approximately 11:25 p.m., Eastern District patrol officers responded to the 1000 block of Hillman Street at E. Chase Street for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found 46-year-old Johns Wilford Jr. suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. Wilford was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital, by medics, where he died a short time later.

Homicide detectives responded out and assumed control of the investigation. They were able to obtain pertinent information about this case that led them to identify the suspect and obtain an arrest warrant.

On December 6, 2021, Warrant Apprehension detectives arrested 37-year-old Derrick Creek of the 1000 block of Hillman Street in Allegany County, Maryland. He was subsequently transported back to Baltimore’s Central Booking where he has been charged with 1st Degree Murder.

Currently, Derrick is being held without bail at Central Booking
