40389 Beach Drive, Mechanicsville, Md, arrested on Dec. 19, 2020, at 1:56 pm by St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Deputy R. Allebach while operating a 2005 Dodge Ram truck on Rt. 5 at Locks Hill Road.  PLEA DEAL between St. Mary’s States Attorney Richard Fritz and Leonardtown criminal defense attorney Kevin J. McDevitt resulted in a guilty plea by Underwood on June 2, 2021, and a verdict of Probation Before Judgement with 15 days in jail and all 15 days suspended.

JANET FAY TIPTON

Of 41161 Knight Road, Leonardtown, Md, 68, (DOB 02/26/1952), was arrested on Dec. 8, 2020, by St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Department Deputy Milton Pesante at 9:44 pm as she operated a 2014 Buick on Newtowne Neck Road at Merlin Way. PLEA DEAL was accomplished by St. Mary’s States Attorney Richard Fritz and criminal defense attorney Kevin J. McDevitt on March 4, 2021, in St. Mary’s District Court when Tipton pleaded guilty to DUI. THE DEAL: a verdict of Probation Before Judgement, 15 days in jail, and all 15 days suspended.

JOSE GUADALUPE MORALES (A three-time DUI offender)

Of 45825 Jaydee Court, Great Mills, Md., was arrested for DUI on June 17, 2020, at 6:10 am by Maryland State Trooper E. Ruggles.  The DUI charge along with traffic charges of reckless driving, speeding, driving while impaired and negligent driving were moved to Circuit Court for a jury trial with Leonardtown criminal defense attorney Daniel Slade representing Morales.  On November 10, 2020, St. Mary’s Circuit Court Judge Joseph Stanalonis found Morales guilty of DWI and sentenced him to six months in the St. Mary’s County Jail. The court decided to send Morales to Drug Court, which court records reveal has been revolving through nearly a dozen postponements with the latest one taking place on December 9, 2021, and the next hearing in Adult Drug Court set for January 6, 2022, with Judge Stanalonis presiding.

 Jose Guadalupe Morales was charged with DWI on Christmas Day of 2001 by Maryland State Trooper John Vanhoy. Morales entered into a plea deal on February 21, 2002, in St. Mary’s District Court. THE DEAL: Morales was sentenced to sixty days in jail with thirty days suspended, no fine, and a probation period of three years.  Conditions of the plea were that Morales was to obey all laws and follow good standards of conduct.

Jose Guadalupe Morales was arrested for DUI by St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Department Deputy Joshua Krum on October 10, 2012, as he operated a 1996 Toyota on Pegg Road at Watt Drive in Lexington Park, Md. Morales was fixed up with a special plea deal by St. Mary’s States Attorney Richard Fritz in St. Mary’s District Court on July 24, 2014. THE DEAL: In return for pleading guilty, Morales was sentenced to one year in jail. The sweet part of the deal was that 305 days were suspended, with zero fine.

UNDRA LAMONT INGRAM

Of 304 Cluster Street, Tower Hill, Illinois, (DOB 10/30/1994) was arrested for DUI by Maryland State Trooper Jonathan Powis on April 4, 2021, at 10:02 pm as he operated a 2010 Crown on Rt. 235 in California, Md. In a plea deal with St. Mary’s States Attorney Richard Fritz in St. Mary’s District Court on July 2, 2021, Ingram entered a guilty plea to DUI. Ingram’s attorney Oluwaseun Olusina Williams bargained for an easy result. THE DEAL: a jail sentence of 90 days in the slammer in the St. Mary’s Jail with ALL of the jail time suspended and one year of unsupervised probation, which means that Ingram never has to take a urine test or show up to visit a probation officer.

ROBERT LEE PERRY (Repeat Offender)

Robert Lee Perry III, (DOB 12/23/1970) of 4865 Saint Leonard Road, St. Leonard, Md., was charged with DUI by St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Department Deputy Dale Smith on May 28, 2020, at 12:19 am when stopped by the deputy on Point Lookout Road as he operated a 1998 Mercury.  Perry employed the services of Waldorf attorney Robert Castro who arranged a plea deal on April 20, 2021, with St. Mary’s States Attorney Richard Fritz. THE DEAL: Perry entered a guilty plea and was sentenced to sixty days in the St. Mary’s County Jail.

Perry was arrested for DWI on September 5, 2015, by Maryland State Trooper C. Esnes as he drove a 1998 Ford on Md. Rt. 4 at Dares Beach Road in Prince Frederick, Md. In a plea deal with Calvert County States Attorney Laura Martin, Perry entered a guilty plea in Calvert District Court on November 2, 2015.  THE DEAL: Perry was sentenced to jail for three years with all but two years and ten months of the sentence suspended and a fine of $500, with half the fine suspended.
