NEWS AND COMMENTARY ON MONEY IN POLITICS

Included in the fundraising achieved by Richard Fritz for the June 14, 2022, reporting period for the 2022 Republican Primary election from legal eagles, defense attorneys, and their spouses, which come in handy for arranging plea deals for their clients. In contrast, Jaymi Sterling announced that she would not take contributions from criminal defense attorneys who practice in St. Mary’s County. Some of the largest contributions to Fritz come from local seekers of plea deals that came within days of an easy plea deal granted – which continues the years of corruption in the Fritz years since he was first sworn in as States Attorney in 1999.

Mega-Pot Factory in Critical Area Yields Furor

RESIDENTS OF THE SEVENTH DISTRICT OVER MAY REJECT FRITZ OVER HIS SIGNIFICANT FINANCIAL SUPPORT BY POT FACTORY MAFIA

Also included in the latest filing of campaign contributions to Fritz was a swarm of donations from the Pot Factory folks led by Charlie Mattingly, who was able to construct an industrial project in a residential area in Abell, which is in the critical area.
An investigation by the St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Department narcotics division came about when they learned that the Pot Factory folks got a head start on their grow business before the legal opening date arrived for medical grow facilities.
Marijuana remains a federally illegal drug and shipping any marijuana through the mail over the threshold allowed by the Postal Service for cannabis oil is illegal. The Postal Service says that the requirement that the tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) concentration of such hemp (or its derivatives) may not exceed a 0.3 percent limit. An investigation brought to Fritz into the Pot Factory folks that involved plants and seeds shipped in from Colorado and other areas disappeared and was never prosecuted by Fritz.

POLITICS SEVENTH DISTRICT STYLE OUT, SEO IN

Not relying solely on his street team to intimidate county residents who have displayed campaign signs for his opponent, Fritz hired a Florida firm to provide him with search engine optimization for a fee of $6,000.

Ellynne Brice Davis is challenging the ethically challenged group of sitting judges on the Orphans Court, one of which, Michael White, is also a contributor to Fritz.
Former Commissioner candidate in 1990, 1994, 1998, and again in 2002, Vernon Gray, provided a contribution of $100 to Fritz on April 24, 2022. Gray has run for office as both a Democrat and a Republican, winning the GOP nomination for St. Mary’s Commissioner in 2002 but losing to Democrat Dan Raley in the General Election.
