MURDER USA Andre Sales killed his ex-girlfriend and two others in her family, a friend, and self

Charles County Sheriff Troy Berry reports that on November 4, 2022, shortly before 4 p.m., officers responded to the 3000 block of Wildflower Drive in La Plata for the report of a shooting. Officers with the Charles County Sheriff’s Office and The La Plata Police Department arrived and located the homeowner at the front door and advised he had returned home from work and discovered five persons deceased in the house.
Officers entered and located two women and three men with trauma to their bodies.
A preliminary investigation revealed the suspect, Andre Sales, 28, who resides at a different residence, entered the house and killed his ex-girlfriend, Sara Mann, 21; her brother, Kai Mann, 18; their mother, Sommaly Mann, 48; and another male who was inside, Javon Watson, 23 of White Plains. Sales then shot himself with a gun, which was recovered.
There were two young children who were initially unaccounted for, but they were located a short time later, safe and unharmed, at a different location. Investigators and forensic personnel are still processing evidence and interviewing family and friends to establish a motive.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore will perform autopsies to confirm each person’s exact cause of death.

Andre Bernard Sales (DOB 11/1993) of 106 Middlesex Court, La Plata, Md, was charged with domestic violence, and the restraining order was dismissed when the petitioner failed to appear in court.

Sara Mann took out a domestic violence restraining order against Andre Sales in Charles County District Court on April 2, 2021. The case was heard by Circuit Court Judge Robert Riddle who issued a temporary order.  On April 9, 2021, District Court Judge Kenneth A. Talley issued a final protective order against Andre Sales.

The criminal assault charges against Andre Sales were dropped by Charles County States Attorney Anthony Covington on September 28, 2021.

LA PLATA, MD. – Police were called to a home on Wildflower Drive in LaPlata, Md on Friday, November 4, 2022, just after four o’clock. The house is at 3018 Wildflower Drive is listed in Maryland land records as owned by Darin Leray Mann, who purchased the property for $350,000 in 2011.

A peace order was issued by the District Court of Charles County, Maryland, against Darin Mann on December 29, 2016, and made final on January 5, 2017.  The Peace Order was brought to court by Jeffrey Latimer on behalf of Shelby Latimer and was ruled on by District Court Judge Kenneth Talley.

A tort action was filed against Darin Leray Mann and Anibal Yobani Rivas Acosta of Gaithersburg, Md on November 20, 2020.  The plaintiffs in the case filed in Montgomery County District Court and dismissed the case on December 22, 2021.
