BOOZING WOMAN WITH CHILD IN VEHICLE FOUND PASSED OUT BEHIND THE WHEEL

DWI / Child Abuse: Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman reports that a woman was found passed out behind the wheel of her car with a child in the vehicle on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 9:04 a.m. The incident took place at a location on Lucketts Road, Leesburg, Va.

Deputies responded to an Assist Rescue call involving a vehicle in the parking lot with an unconscious person behind the wheel.

Deputies found the driver of the vehicle to be under the influence. A young child was also in the vehicle and removed by a concerned citizen. The child was not injured.

Jeanene H. Engel, 43, of Leesburg, was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Gross or Reckless Care of a Child. Engel was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, where she was released on a $3,000 bond.
