BAD BOYS, BAD BOYS WATCHA GONNA WATCH ON PRISON TV

SPRINGFIELD, VA. – When a couple of Maryland mopes decided to hatch a plan to rob a Springfield, Virginia, gun store and sell the weapons they believed their criminal enterprise would obtain, they selected the Crime Capital of America, Washington, D. C, as their target market to get rid of the stolen guns. And why not? The woke politicians on the District of Columbia City Council and the Mayor have demoralized and demonized the police, cutting the budget, plundering public trust, and demonstrating to officers that they should seek employment elsewhere.

According to court records, Cedric Antonio Minger, Victor Jones, and others committed a series of car thefts in Maryland and Virginia, and the criminals embarked upon a journey to relieve several gun stores in Maryland and Virginia of as much of their inventory as possible in midnight raids. Their criminal scheme was carried out between April 29, 2023, to May 10, 2023.

Minger and Jones got the itch to go into the stolen gun business. First, they got into the stolen car business when, on February 8, 2023, they absconded with a 1018 Kia Stinger, which they boosted in Virginia and took into the District of Columbia.  On April 24, 2023, Minger and Jones brought a stolen 2023 Dodge Charger Scat Pack into Fairfax County, which they used as a getaway car. The Minger and Jones gang were picky rascals as they found that their tastes in stolen cars continued to evolve. On April 29, 2023, they stole a 2015 Acura ILX and drove to Dominion Defense in Springfield, Va.

The gang, dressed appropriately in sneaky dark-colored garb with hoodies and masks, as if they were a combination of Ninja Turtles and closet homosexuals dressed for success in a public park, approached the back door of Dominion Defense.

The gang conducted a group observation of the challenge that lay ahead of them in conquering the reader’s door. Jones reached into his backpack, clearly his go-bag of tools of burglars, and pulled out some body lotion, which he smeared over the lens of a Ring camera at the door. Minger pulled out a firearm and blasted a shot at the door in an attempt to either force the door to open or cause a ricochet and eliminate one of his crime partners to have fewer shares of the booty.

Then Minger was able to shimmy through an opening at the top of the interior door of the building and, once inside, pass through 52 rifles and guns, which are listed by serial number in the indictment included in this article.

Using their purloined rides, Minger and Jones, delivered their stolen guns to DC and traveled to the Engage Armament in Rockville, Maryland, where they were deterred from burglarizing the store due not being able to break down an interior door.  Jones used his cell phone, which was likely stolen too, to search for more gun stores and decided to go after TOP GUN FIREARMS in Fallston, Maryland. The Gunshop Gang was scared off by a burglar alarm.

Jones and Minger pled guilty on June 20, 2024, to conspiracy to steal firearms from an FFL and stealing firearms from an FFL. On Sept. 4, 2024, Jones was sentenced to nine years in prison. Minger was sentenced today to nine years and six months in prison.

Cedric Antonio Minger (DOB 06/13/2002) of 14200 Kathleen Lane, Brandywine, Maryland, was arrested by Prince George’s County Police Officer M. Norris on May 24, 2023, by way of a statement of charges issued by the District Court in Upper Marlboro.  The arrest warrant was quashed temporarily as ten criminal counts of firearm use in the commission of a felony, armed robbery, and robbery were included in an indictment issued by the Prince George’s County Grand Jury in connection with crimes he committed and was part of on April 27, 2023. At that point in time, Minger acquired a new address at 14209 Captain John Smith Drive in Washington, D.C.
