The following is a graphic of some of the politicians who have accepted campaign contributions to their campaigns and/or Political Action Committees that advance their election from members of the Sackler family and/or Purdue Pharma. The OxyContin product of the firm owned by the billionaire Sackler family had caused the death of several hundred thousand Americans between the marketing of the drug that began around 2000 to 2019 when the first litigation began. The Sackler family and the companies entered bankruptcy and arrived at a settlement of litigation until the Supreme Court voided the deal in 2024.
