BLOODBATH INVOLVED FOUR; ONLY TWO EX-CON OUTLAWS DIED IN SEVERN SHOOTOUT,
ONE WOUNDED

SEVERN, MD. – Anne Arundel County Police report that on March 4, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 8100 block of Meade Village Road in Severn. The two dead guys are both violent criminals with several arrests for attempted murder, robbery, drug convictions, and who knows what else these scumbags did and were never brought to justice.

Anne Arundel Police say that officers located two aforementioned adult males suffering from apparent gunshot wounds administered by fellow outlaws who absconded from the scene of the crime.
Officers provided medical aid until relieved by Fire Department personnel, who pronounced one of the victims, identified as 23-year-old Derrick Purcell Ahmad McDonald (DOB 08/28/2001) of 7924 Beach Plum Lane, Severn, Maryland, deceased at the scene.

The other male, identified as 28-year-old Mack Samuel Galloway III, of 473 Mainview Court, Glen Burnie, Md. Glen Burnie, Maryland, was transported to the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased. Another victim, a 26-year-old male, was injured by a possible metal fragment resulting from the gunfire and was transported to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with non-life-threatening injuries. He was not shot.
Responding officers located a vehicle near Pioneer Drive and Jacobs Road occupied by two males who were believed to have been involved in the shooting. The passenger of the vehicle had an apparent gunshot wound and was transported to Bay View Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. The driver was uninjured. Police identified neither of these hooligans at the time of the report but such information may be forthcoming.
Homicide Unit detectives arrived on the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation. Detectives and Evidence Collection Unit personnel collected multiple items of evidentiary value at the crime scene and from the vehicle, and several witnesses were located and interviewed regarding the shooting. While detectives are still working to establish a motive for the shooting, the preliminary investigation indicates this was a targeted incident and not a random act of violence.
Anne Arundel Police say that this latest bloodbath of the underworld in Maryland is an active and ongoing investigation. Detectives ask that anyone with information that could help this investigation contact them at 410-222-4731. The good news for McDonald is that his one year of probation is now abated by his death. He was charged in 2017 for attempted murder and other charges and on August 25, 2024 was charged with disorderly conduct which resulted in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court Judge Thomas V. Miller II on Dec. 19, 2024, approving a verdict of probation before judgement with probation for one year.

GLEN BURNIE, MD. – Anne Arundel Police report on July 25, 2018, at about 1:30 pm, that detectives on patrol looking for wise guys and other miscreants in the criminal-laden area of Severn spotted a vehicle with an equipment violation and conducted a traffic stop on Meade Village Road.
The Detectives with the Western District’s Tactical Patrol Unit hit pay dirt with the odor of marijuana weeping from the vehicle, providing the probable cause to conduct a search which revealed more than two thousand dollars, a digital scale, 56.31 grams of pot and a loaded Smith and Wesson .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun – a handy tool for drug dealers who compete with other thugs and heathens in a tough business.
Arrested were Mack Samuel Galloway III, 21, (DOB 11/10/1996) of 473 Mainview Court, Glen Burnie, Md., and Michael Anthony Mack, 33 of 308 Rose Avenue, Glen Burnie. The pair were charged with ten counts of drug distribution while armed with firearms, illegal possession of ammunition, possession of a stolen gun, use of a weapon in a violent crime, possession with the intent to distribute and three of the charges are felonies. Taxpayers will be pleased to learn that their hard-earned money is going to be provided to pay for free lawyers for the pair.
UPDATE ON TRIAL ACTION: In Anne Arundel County Circuit Court on December 4, 2019, Circuit Court Judge Mark W. Crooks found Galloway guilty of possession of a firearm by a felon with a previous conviction, guilty of possession of a firearm, possession of drugs other than pot,

Galloway Sentenced to Jail in 2015
Galloway was charged with armed robbery when he was part of a gang that held up a man at the Popeye’s located on Crain Highway in Glen Burnie on May 2014 at about 12:20 am. The gang robbed him of cash, cigarettes, and his phone.
The gang then fled, drawing the attention of police, who viewed the car as suspicious. Galloway was found guilty of theft in Anne Arundel Circuit Court on Nov. 2, 2015, and sentenced to 18 months in jail.

Mack Samuel Gallaway was convicted on one of thirty-three charges by jury

After the State tried Mack Samuel Galloway, appellant, for armed robbery and thirty-three related charges, a jury in the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County convicted him of a single charge, theft of property valued under $1,000.1 Challenging that conviction, appellant presents four questions for our review:

ISSUES OF GALLOWAY APPEAL

  • Did the trial court abuse its discretion when it refused to allow [appellant]’s expert witness on eyewitness identification to testify via Skype at the pre-trial motions hearing, and did the trial court thereafter abuse its discretion when it ruled that [appellant]’s expert witness on eyewitness identification could not testify at trial?
  • Did the trial court abuse its discretion when it refused to give a jury instruction on cross-racial identification?
  • Did the trial court err and/or abuse its discretion when it refused to allow defense counsel to introduce a prior consistent statement?

Did the trial court abuse its discretion when it permitted the State to make prejudicial remarks in closing argument?
