BARRICADE OF JEFFREY KEITH REID HOLDS DEPUTIES AT BAY FOR SEVERAL HOURS

UPDATE: Video shows that dozens of deputies were attending the scene of one dirtbag when a deployment of tear gas would have sent him running for the front door and fresh air. Where is the leadership and supervision in the St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Department?

BARRICADE OF JEFFREY KEITH REID HOLDS DEPUTIES AT BAY FOR SEVERAL HOURS

LEXINGTON PARK, MD.  – St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Deputies have a suspect cornered in a residence for several hours and are attempting to bullhorn him out of the house as they surrounded his lair with guns drawn, according to a witness.

“Come out with your hands up, we know you’re in there,” commanded a deputy several times to no avail. A witness in a nearby home said it was the twelfth time Jeffrey Keith Reid was ordered to surrender.

The St. Mary’s County Circuit Court Grand Jury indicted Jeffrey Keith Reid on May 5, 2025, with assault in the second degree and use of a dangerous and deadly weapon to threaten and injure another. Hearings are set in Circuit Court for the indictments issued in May, for August 15th, and September 19th, and trial by jury is set for September 23, 2025, before Circuit Court Judge David W. Densford.

Reid (DOB 3/30/1967) of 48965 Spring Lake Drive, Lexington Park, MD, was charged with theft by St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Department Deputy D. Shubrooks on Nov. 26, 2022, and found guilty in District Court, winning him sixty free days in the slammer. In 2018, Maryland State Trooper Ditoto charged Reid with trespassing, and District Court Judge Robyn Riddle found him guilty. In 2020, he was cited for violating the terms of his probation.
