WALDORF, MD. – In what used to be a busy commercial strip along Rt. 301, surrounded by a sprawling “new town” of St. Charles, an upscale shopping mall and sparkling new schools, Waldorf has become bigger in every conceivable way. The subdivisions are larger, the shopping and the commercial area have become abundant in both numbers of retailers and choices available and the crime has evolved into what is routine in areas such as Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
