MURDER USA: Charles Detectives Pin the Tail on Two Donkeys in Firehouse Murder of Leon Inabinett Following Lead from Tipster

BRYANS ROAD, MD. – A man who was helping to clean up after a reception held at the Bryans Road Volunteer Fire Department was murdered on June 20, 2021, leading Charles County Sheriff’s Detectives to collar two bozos from Waldorf and charge them with homicide.

PLEA bargain by Charles County States Attorney Tony Covington failed to jail Bell on the gun charge of possession by a convicted felon. Bell is not in prison as of March 31, 2023. Bell was found guilty of murder and use of a gun by a felon in a violent crime and still awaiting sentencing.

Charles County Sheriff Troy Berry reports that a tip to the Charles County Crime Solvers led to the two alleged culprits whose evil acts led them to slew Leon Nathaniel Inabinett, 25, at the firehouse on Livingston Road in Bryans Road.

Police say that Inabinett was in the back parking lot when two suspects approached and fired multiple shots at him which killed him dead.

On Sunday, June 20, 2021 Leon Inabinett of Capitol Heights, Maryland entered into eternal rest.  Family will receive friends on Monday, July 12 at 10am until time of funeral service at 11 am at First Baptist Church of Glenarden 3600 Brightseat Road, Landover, Maryland.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery.

Detectives subsequently obtained arrest warrants for Ryan Lamont Bell, 34, (DOB 11/04/1986) of 146 Beecher Ave., Apt. 2, Cheltenham, Pennsylvania, and sometimes of Waldorf, and ex-con Jahad Karim Frierson, 23, (DOB 5/19/1997) of Sewickley Street, Waldorf, Md. Bell was located and arrested on June 22, 2021. With the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service, Frierson was located and arrested on June 29, 2021.

Both suspects were charged by Charles County Sheriff’s Detective Eric Weaver with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, and other related charges such as that old favorite for thugs and mugs – loaded handgun in a vehicle.

They are being held without bond at the Charles County Jail. Police say that the victim and suspects were known to each other.

On June 30, 2021, Charles County District Court Judge Lou Hennessey ordered Frierson to be held in the slammer without bond pending further court appearances.  Taxpayers of Maryland will be deliriously happy to learn that they are footing the bill for this alleged killer’s attorney.

Jahad Karim Frierson charged with firehouse murder.

Jahad Karim Frierson was indicted by the Charles County Circuit Court Grand Jury on November 8, 2012, with a sex offense in the first-degree, second-degree assault, fourth-degree sex offense, and unnatural and perverted practices.  Before Charles County Circuit Court Judge Helen Harrington on June 17, 2013, Frierson entered an Alford Plea to the charges against, which acknowledges that the prosecution has sufficient evidence to convict him. The plea deal resulted in two of the charges earning him a year in jail with credit given for time served of 211 days. Another count earned Frierson a ten-year sentence with two years suspended, leaving him with eight years to serve in the Maryland prison system.  Frierson failed to register in the Maryland Sex Offender Registry and was charged in June with that offense.

It didn’t take long for the dirtbag Frierson to violate the terms of his probation and to be found guilty of a violation of his probation. Like a true thug and dirtbag, Frierson failed to appear for his sentencing on May 6, 2021 – perhaps due to his plans to find and allegedly murder Inabinett.  A bench warrant was issued for him as a result, which was served when he was apprehended on the murder rap.  A hearing for the probation violation sentencing will take place on August 19, 2021.

Proving that the incarceration of criminals holds down the crime rate and creates fewer victims, the number of crimes charged against Frierson while he was in prison was zero.

Bell was also indicted for felony distribution of drugs by the Charles County Grand Jury on May 21, 2021.  Six other criminal charges including possession of body armor, handgun possession by a convicted felon, loaded gun in a vehicle, and driving while suspended were also placed against Bell. Attorney Thomas C. Mooney of Upper Marlboro is the mouthpiece for Bell on this charge.
