ELECTION 2026 WILD CARDS AND WILD GAME AS SOME AMBITIOUS NEWCOMERS HUNT FOR POSTS, WHILE THE SEASONED WANT TO HANG ONTO THEIRS

Tuesday, June 23, 2026, 7 am to 8 pm Primary Election

ANNAPOLIS, MD – Around the election calendar, the ambitious and the cunning have been making their plans, and a smattering of candidates have filed for the Maryland election primary coming up in 2026.

FIFTH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT

A Leonardtown Resident, Elldwina English, could be the Maryland version of the whackadoodle AOC of New York and send Steny Hoyer off to a rest home, other than the one operated by the taxpayers known as the House of Representatives. English appears to be as dumb as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who posted a selfie video of herself on her Facebook page in February, displaying that she was totally in awe of herself and the action she took that day to officially announce her candidacy for the ‘Maryland Congresswoman’. English didn’t appear to know that Maryland has eight members of Congress, but they don’t teach much about civics in public schools, while ensuring that all kids are successful and receive participation trophies.

A month later, state election records reveal that English filed for the Fourth Congressional District instead of the one in which she resides, the Fifth Congressional District.  AOC swept into Congress by beating a long-serving Democrat in the primary, and Lord knows that most of the voters now in the Maryland Fifth Congressional District don’t know anything about Hoyer except for what they can see on his campaign posters and websites – that he is a long-in-the-tooth old white guy.

It won’t matter that English is incoherent, knows little about anything except that she hates Trump and hates you who voted for him, calling his supporters “Magats”. English posts enhancements of her rather lumpy natural self, which looks as if she used AI to make her presentation all gussied up and younger to match her diatribe of hatred for Trump.  Her socialist-themed statements belie the fact that two years ago, she bought a home in Leonardtown for $600,000, showing that capitalism has been working pretty well for her.

The demographics of the 5th District bode well for her among Democrats, as the population has shifted toward the younger generation, which is less familiar with Hoyer and owes him nothing. Hoyer will have the older population in Prince George’s to count on for his victory, if it arrives and if he is still alive. At eighty-six and successfully dealing with a minor stroke in 2024, the odds are iffy as to whether he will be the nominee of the Democratic Party in 2026. The irony is excellent due to the fact that Hoyer has been the best friend of the thousands of federal government employees who live in PG County. Hoyer’s supporters are just like him, except many have retired, as opposed to him, who refuses to retire.

HOUSE OF DELEGATES DISTRICT 29-B

DEMOCRAT:
KRIS MCDONALD: A young black man, Kristopher Raul McDonald, turned away from his hood life in Waldorf when he was in high school. He has lived in the Hermanville neighborhood for two years. He has filed for the Democratic nomination for the seat currently held by the tax-hiking, cringeworthy incumbent Democrat, Del. Brian Crosby. McDonald has about thirty-five followers on his new Facebook page and one photo that shows him neatly attired in a serious pose as he makes a bid for office. McDonald states that he is an employee of the Charles County government.  McDonald provided a candid view of his take on government and taxes in this interview.

DEMOCRAT:
Adrianne (Dillahunt) Mathis, a St. Mary’s School Board administrator, vice principal, and equity coordinator, resumed her maiden name of Adrianne Mathis after her divorce from Linster Dillahunt in 2023. Mathis is the daughter of two-time Democratic commissioner candidate Elfreda Mathis, a retired principal. Mathis is a non-voting ex officio member of the Historic St. Mary’s City Commission. In 2023, Mathis, still using her married name of Adrianne Dillahunt on deeds and mortgages, paid $325,000 for a Townhome located in the Elizabeth Hills community off of Indian Bridge Road, at Bethmill Way, California, MD.  Mathis was requested to participate in an interview, and when she does so, the interview will be provided for our readers.

REPUBLICAN:
William BJ Hall III, a resident of California, Maryland, filed on July 3, 2025, for the House seat currently held by leftist Brian Crosby.
BJ Hall is actively using his fraternity brothers to register voters after receiving training from the St. Mary’s Board of Elections staff. Hall said his voter team has made three trips to Cedar Lane Apartments to sign up new voters, but doesn’t recall the results of the effort.
Hall posted this message on Facebook on Oct. 1, 2025: “As a West Point graduate, Army veteran, single father, project manager, and community advocate, I know what it means to serve with integrity and deliver when it counts. I’m committed to fiscal discipline, lowering costs, stronger schools, and a clear plan for our community’s future. Together, we can put People Over Politics and build something better for St. Mary’s County.”
